The ribbon cutting aboard the JLA satellite, just to wander around and sight see. Alternatively, maybe watching one of the old Avenger West-East baseball games.
For real-life stuff, the Jack Kirby panel at SDCC 86, where Alan Moore attended/spoke.

What we used to call life has very little worth these days. Welcome to the very edge.

Hmmm. Most of the moments I can think of probably wouldn't have been good for bystanders to be present. Haha!
In terms of real-world moments, though, I'd love to be there in December 1991 when Todd McFarlane, Rob Liefeld and Jim Lee had their meeting with Marvel's Terry Stewart, and the you-know-what hit the fan. LOL!
Another one I'd have liked to be there for was the inaugural meeting of the Justice Society as depicted in All-Star 1.3. No need to worry about getting crushed by the action, just a sumptuous dinner, listening to the nine soon-to-be-legends telling their best war-story to date.
Agreed. Especially since there'd in all likelihood be no way we'd be able to save Gwen Stacy, either. Spider-Man tried, and failed ... and at the time it was published, it was very shocking since it was a cruel subversion of the 'superhero always saves the girl' trope. If Spider-Man couldn't save her, than we couldn't, either.
But yes, seeing Galactus' arrival in person would be something. Though definitely scary, as we wouldn't be seeing it from the safety of the other side of the comic book panels, and we'd be on a world that's in danger of being destroyed should the Fantastic Four fail to save the day.
