Default Isn't having a secret headquarters under your house a bit risky?

It's cool and all, but what if someone in the far future (after your death) stumble upon your lair by accident? If you find a secret lair under one of Donald Trump's old homes, wouldn't you get suspicious?

Even if you tear the mansion down later in the future, people could still find out where Bruce used to live.

If I found a secret lair under Trump's house, or most kinda weird America billionaires, I'd probably go in looking for proof of blood sacrifices to Imhotep instead of checking whether he was a superhero.

Anyway, the whole point of a headquarters under your house is that it's easier than having to go somewhere each time to get changed and head on out. And the Batcave could always be filled in if Bruce needed it, but I don't think he's that worried about people figuring his identity many years after he's died and Gotham's a better place. Probably not high on his list of concerns.

Well, if you're dead, it isn't really worth worrying about. It's them being found, and your identity revealed when you're alive that's the risk.

It's happened. Tenzil Kem, aka Matter-Eater Lad of the Legion of Super-Heroes presented a TV show of the excavation of the Batcave, 1000 years in the future.

Of course, by that time huge chunks of contemporary history had been lost, forgotten, or just plain misremembered, so they didn't recognise it as the Batcave (despite such clues as Batmobiles, giant pennies and equally giant playing cards). So Bruce's secret remains safe.

(It's more of a bad idea because your house might fall into it if there's an earthquake.)

I think having your lair housed under a mental asylum containing mostly Supervillains you've captured is pretty risky, but Bruce seemed fairly confident that the Cave's entrances were secure enough that nobody would ever find it.

Though was Bruce and co. using that Court of Owls headquarters by Endgame in part a means of moving out of the cave because of Arkham Manor?
