    1. Cyclops
    2. Jean
    3. Cable
    4. Rachel

Related to that I'd love to see a duo of just Cyclops and Cable.

A Magneto Helmed X-Force. He's not the field leader but more of an overall commander, operations kind of character who occasionally assists. The series would have more of a mission impossible kind of vibe than a mutant dirt tricks book but still occasionally dipping into darker territory (especially when Mags gets more involved). The team members were chosen for their "skill sets" more so than just powers
    1. Magneto (Overall command, Operations)
    2. Brier Ralegh (Operations Support)
    3. Polaris (Field Leader)
    4. Wolverine (Black Ops, ninja training, team muscle)
    5. Gambit (Master Thief)
    6. Psylock (ninja, stealth, telepathy)
    7. Sage (computer skills)
    8. Morph (infiltration)

Lastly the more traditional Uncanny X-Men
    1. Cyclops
    2. Magik
    3. Emma Frost
    4. Rachel
    5. Kitty Pryde
    6. Beast (after recovering from becoming the massive prick he's been)
    7. Magneto (guest/recurring not a full time member)
Just wanted to highlight this. Well played.

    Uncanny X-Men
    Cyclops
    Magneto
    Emma Frost
    Colossus
    Magik
    Hope Summers
    Rachel Grey
    Bishop

Basically, the Extinction team with Rachel instead of Storm and Bishop instead of Namor.

    Astonishing X-Men
    Wolverine
    Cannonball
    Beast
    Iceman
    Nightcrawler
    Psylocke
    Sage
    Kitty Pryde

    X-Force
    Cable

    My dream team would be...

    Cyclops
    Storm
    Kitty Pride
    Rogue
Psylocke or Rachael for the team's telepath
    Nightcrawler
    Gambit
    Polaris

This might be biased though as I am on a read through from the 60s and am in the 80s right now.

I like smaller rosters, but that means more books, and I don't think Marvel is giving us more than 2 team books for the X-Men...

I keep seeing Magneto on the rosters. I don't want that. The X-Men have been lacking a true adversary. But I don't think he needs to return to villainy but a more realistic approach. Be the revolutionary that Cyke was supposed to be. Drop the "Evil" from the Brotherhood of Mutants, give them actual reason, heck steal Cable's most recent crusade, it would put him at odds with the entire world government.

    Magneto and the Brotherhood
    Magneto
    Polaris
    Mystique
    Blob
    Avalanche
    Pyro
    Exodus

    X-Men
    Cyclops
    Jean Grey
    Beast
    Angel
    Iceman
    Kitty

    Uncanny X-Men
    Storm
    Rogue
    Wolverine
    Gambit
    Colossus
    Psylocke

Maybe a third squad later on facilitate Havok, Magik, Nightcrawler, Firestar, and Canonball.

Realistically speaking about fictional matters. | Nutcases need not respond. | Stay outta my DMs. | Why does the "House of Ideas" keep duplicating characters?! | If an idea or belief cannot stand up to criticism it's probably... bad.

Each school would be a separate book and all the other X-men title eradicated (excluding X-Force and X-Factor) leaving just 3 core X-titles.

i love that idea of the three international teams, i would just switch up tempus and iceman, just cause i want to see Bobby and Hank go to poetry slams like they used to back in the 60's

    as for my team,

Cyclops (hand picked by Xavier since he was a teen to be leader)
Rachel Summers (always need a telepath)
Cannonball (always good to have that type of air support)
Rockslide ( untapped potential and the funny man)
    Majik (nuff said)
X-23 ( cause you need a wolverine type)
Kitty Pryde ( public face/heart and soul of team)
    Chamber ( just because)
and Iceman ( only so he can get killed off)

    Since there is an all female team, I think it would be nice for balance to have an all male testosteron team;

    Cyclops (leader)
    Nightcrawler (team spirit and transport)
Hellion (what is a team without a rebel?)
Cable (telepath, father/son relation with cyke)
    Rockslide (humor and muscle)
Bishop (fire power and nice combo with Cable)
    Warpath (I just want him)
    Sunspot (see warpath)

I 'm going to do a few old titles with new lineup or missions-Mandate can't be in any other title unless it makes sense time wise. Since most of my lineups are in Limbo it should be easy.

    Dark X-Men

This is my gray team not a hit squad like X-Force but way outside the Law

    1Emma -Leader
2 Blink-transport-Emma makes peace for losing her pre GenX
3 Dagger- transport -anti mutate or MGH drus theme
4 Cloak- heart and soul of team
5 Random- there for the money and they treat him like part of family.
6 Namor - usually in Atlantis but he will come anytime
7 Tarot-first story Emma has to Sophies choice all her TO infected Hellions and chose Tarot as the keeper
8 Negasonic Teenage Warhead-Emma steals her from Selene
9 Warpath -temp dates Dagger for Drama but she goes back to Cloak all stay friends

    Fallen Angels

This is my team dealing with the Magic and Evil of the Marvel U usually a team of 6 from lineup below

1 Captain Brit-forms group after Spril brings back Morgan le Fey
    2 Meggan -see above
3 Penance-payback on Emplate, and find out who she is
    4 Magic- DUH
5 Dani Moonstar- Death Val powers
6 Life Seed Angel-science meet magic thanks to the Celestals
7 Forge-Leader-his powers of Magic weaken further from North america
8 Pixie-learns some magik from Daytripper
    9 Daytripper-Second in command

    Weapon X-men of SHIELD

I hate SHIELD so this group approaches them as a go between and sometimes as a push back for when they overstep.

1 Skids-Leader she is dating Exodous
2 Exodous-only there for Skids SHIELD fears this
3 Shadowcat- she has history with SHIELD
4 Mimic-ever sice Dark Reign it feels like Kelvin wants to do good for everyon
5 Omega- Shield kills him we he uncovers a bunker of emergency Sentinels
6 Bishop-he was a Cop- finds evidence of Hope planning to kill Billions of humans
7 Tusk-An Inhuman working his time off with SHIELD
8 Wolverine if alive- He tells Fury he will cut his head off and bring SHIELD to the ground if he recruits X23
9 Omega Setinel-She is a good cop who is playing SHIELD as a secret mutant hater but is always on X side(it was Exodous's idea and he always refers to her as the robot in front of agents.

    X-Terminators

This is the Xmen hit Squad give XForce back to Cable for his own mission

    1 Dakken
    2 Deadpool
    3 Marrow-
    4 Adam X
5 Orphan Maker @ Nanny-adopted after help saving mutant children from Emplate
6 Danger-she is finding her inner voice for when lethal force is needed
7 Jubliee-in all her Vamp glory( I'm cool if she gets back her powers back too.)
8 ShatterStar (keeping it from Rictor ooo the drama)
    9 Magneto

Here are a couple of line-ups that I think have a lot of potential:
X-Men: The core team that sets the tone for every other series.
    Wolverine- obviously.
    Rogue- second-in-command, team muscle
Quentin Quire- the telepath and rebel of the team
Emma Frost- after turning evil during IvX, she is slowly returning to the good side
    Northstar- comedic relief, strategist
Beast- brains and brawn of the team

Next team is New X-Men: Magneto leading a team of dark and diverse mutants to stop a mess of new mutant threats.
    Magneto- team leader and strategist
    Psylocke- second-in-command, telepath
    Domino- sarcastic stealth operator
Nightcrawler- moral compass of the team
    Warpath- powerhouse of the team
    Archangel- unstable powerhouse
    Mystique- stealth operations and infiltration
Magik- team teleporter and magical warrior

X-Men: Legacy: a team of a few holdovers and few new members that operates as human-mutant liaisons. This team would serve as the X-team full of political intrigue, double-crosses, and switching alliances.
Rogue- holdover from X-Men, team leader
Gambit- team comedic relief and strategist
    Rachel Grey- telepath and second-in-command
X-23- team tracker and stealth operator
Angel- time-displaced mutant with an affinity towards X-23.
