As a member of the line of succession to the presidency, one member must remain away from the proceedings at the Capitol Building. As she watches, there is a loud explosion and the unthinkable happens.
It’s the night of President Herbert Forrest’s State of the Union address. All the major networks are carrying the event live as usual. Even in Syria, where the Elite team is currently, gets the event live. As the President speaks, the image fades away, replaced by the words “You shall not escape our web”. His band so far on his trek includes a cynical samurai named Sanjuro, a hairy,caped ball of dynamite called Capt. Caveman, a tormented native-american Dashiell Bad Horse, a foul-mouthed, sharp-shooting cowgirl Tallulah Black, and most recently an iron-necked, justice seeking, hard to kill big man John Henry. Oh yeah, and Jesse's been shot. This wild bunch took on the bandit Pistolera's (with whom Tallulah has a score to settle) men, and the Preacher took a bullet from 300 yards out, the trigger pulled by a cold-blooded, blonde, pale, long-toothed outlaw that seems hauntingly familiar. John Henry is leading them to the cottage of a local couple, used to be a big city doctor in a past life, to fix Jesse up. You may have heard the name before from somewhere, The Waynes...
• Now:Jesse Custer is bleeding profusely, falling in and out of consciousness. Old Doc Wayne can only keep him alive for so long, what he needs is a special herb, a magical mushroom found only in the dark hills on the other side of the valley. So Capt. Caveman and Dashiell Bad Horse venture out to find some. John Henry stays behind with Jesse, while Sanjuro accompanies Tallulah Black who insists they stay on the trail of Pistolera before they lose her scent.
• The Waynes tell a dying Jesse Custer about their lives and deaths and the good son they left behind, bringing back memories of Jesse's own ill fated parents. Meanwhile, Tallulah and Sanjuro follow a false trail leading to a decoy campsite, they have been tricked because....
• Pistolera and her men are waiting in the Black Hills to ambush Capt. Caveman and Dash! Sanjuro and Tallulah arrive too late. Shots ring out over the maddening bad lands of Purgatory.
• Back at the stately Wayne cabin, Jesse has stopped breathing. The door opens. A bruised and battered Tallulah hands Thomas Wayne a satchel of blood stained mushrooms, Sanjuro shoves in a hogtied captive,Skinner Sweet, the very vampire who pulled the trigger that put that bullet in Jesse's gut, and finally....Dash carries in the body of their fallen friend, the first casualty of this crusade....Captain Caveman is dead!

The Wonder Dog fought in World War 2. He hasn't aged and can communicate with all animals or humans dead or alive.

Above the warehouse Clark Archer is being held in, a lone figure tracks a GPS signal. The figure knows he can take out the members inside and rescue Mr. Archer, the question is, should he call for assistance.
In the warehouse, Clark withstands blow after blow, each blow preceded by the question, “Who is my granddaughter and where is she?” That question rings in Clark’s ears, as does the voice of Carmine Falcone. He knows he can’t take much more of a beating.
Tim gets a call from Luke Fox telling him he knows where Clark is. “Meet me in Old Gotham and bring your friends. Oh, and dress appropriately.”

"The Death of Clark Kent": Part One

Superman went quietly with Green Lantern & the SCU squad. More confused than anything, he now sits in a t-shirt & a pair of shorts in the interview room at SCU headquarters. Hal Jordan enters, carrying a file folder. Inside are lab reports and witness testimonies. The preliminary lab reports have identified the blood & singed hair samples as belonging to Clark Kent! Witnesses saw Clark leave Lois at the Lemaris, and Superman was not seen all night after dropping Blackout off at the precinct. Jordan, having known Superman is Clark Kent for years, knows how preposterous this all is. He explains that the Guardians don't care, and the fact that Earth is accusing a superbeing of murdering a non-superbeing means that it must be investigated. Superman agrees to be led to a cell until he can sort this out. He still has that headache, though...

Mayor Luthor, having received the news of Superman's arrest, goes on WGBS to pledge his office's full support in getting to the bottom of the matter. He informs the media that he's being told that the Man of Steel allegedly followed Clark Kent home, entered his apartment, and vaporized him with his heat vision. The theory is supported by blood splatters and hair left at the scene. Luthor confirms that forensics are still testing, but all indications are that the blood belongs to Kent. When asked if Superman has an alibi, Luthor refuses to answer the question. A reporter asks him if the motive has anything to do with Clark Kent dating Lois Lane, and Lionel excuses himself & exits the briefing room.

Lois visits Superman at the SCU. She urges him to reveal his secret to the world, because without Clark present there is no way to prove Superman's innocence. He tells her he can't do that, for her safety and for others, and that even though the blood can't be his, it must belong to someone. He explains his headache before being led away by Jordan.

At Luthorcorp, Lex watches the media storm on television. He sees the banner read "SUPERMAN: MURDERER?" and smiles...

He/she has a slew of souped up assault cars that look like cars we've all seen before like the Dukes of Hazard General Lee, Knightrider's Kitt and even a Batmobile. The cars are his/her weapons and they are also how he/she makes a statement. It is a nonstop highspeed car chase throughout Metropolis with no one willing to give and adrenaline rises the more pedal hits the medal. They both love it, but this love affair must come to an end with a head-on collision!
