Jamie Madrox Appreciation thread

PAD's version of Jamie is by far one of my all time favorite literary characters of any genre. He has the weirdest powers and he is just a dude everyone knows or has known. He's written funny, and charismatic like someone you'd want to have drinks with, and also has an emotional depth not found in most comic characters. PAD made Jamie feel like an old friend. I'll miss him as the POV character and I hope we'll see him again soon.

Loved Jamie in X-Factor.
He was such a great character with really interesting powers.
It's not often that you get a leader like him in comics. He pretty much made it up as he went along, and often not very well at all.
Plus the way PAD evolved his powers to give his dupes different personalities, and have minds of their own gave us some great stories.
He rarely got sucked in to the core X-Men's drama, acted like a git a lot and he always did his best for his friends.
A good man/crowd all round.

Was sad to see his story end (for now), but it was great to see him get a happy ending.

The Madrox mini-series remains the quintessential Madrox story for me.

He must be as closely associated with one writer as just about any character in the Marvel canon.

Hmm. Under loved thread.

There was an appearance by a Madrox dupe in the brilliant She Hulk this week.

Turns out he and Layla are still on the farm, and would be poor, if not for Matt Rocks the dupe. (He's sponsoring Shulkie so she can defend Captain America on a civil case in LA.). Here's a few panels. Matt Rocks is obviously a fake tan abuser and is from the shallow end of the dupe pool. I love him anyway.

Shouldn't his dupes still be popping up all over the Marvel U not just Jamie prime? since Xfactor u think 1 of them would have joined a team.

I think he made it his business to reabsorb as many as he could. (Was their absence making him feel weird? I can't remember.). The only ones I know of still out are the Reverend Maddox, this new one Matt Rocks, and the few who died. I wouldn't be half surprised if a few more were around, possibly making more. Now you say it, he could be the first character ever to have a happy ever ending AND have the turbulent life of a superhero.

Here's another panel from She Hulk. It's quite funny how the new dupes don't have the fake tan, (or make up?) or awful hair even if it doesn't quite synch with how Jamie's powers normally work. Still, I'll forgive minor errors in exchange for a laugh.

Logan alpha, I know you didn't like the Madrox focus in X-Factor, and you felt it took away from some of your favourites; but this is his appreciation thread. If you have nothing positive to say about him, then please post elsewhere.

I wasn't attacking Jamie only pointing out the obvious in relation to Captain Buttocks surprise of Jamie getting a happy ending, I could have said a whole lot more about him had I wanted to but I refrained.
