Like I said, if you think the current SS is bad you haven't read the original series: the Surfer as a sole voice of introspection and angst in a hostile Earth who shuns and reviles him.


(If only Dawn Greenwood had been in that series: She could offer to show him the good, positive side of humanity. It would have been an improvement over the final Jack Kirby-drawn issue.)Attachment 36051

Apparently Issues #4 to #6 of Webspinners: Tales of Spider-Man tried to resolve THAT particular cliffhanger.

Mr. Vaughan, if you are reading this: look at the difference in reception between the first version of Deadpool (from the Wolverine: Origins, movie) and the last Deadpool movie.

Key advice: stick as close to continuity as you possibly can. Straying too far from "comic book formula" could be disastrous. Just ask Fox (see: last re-boot of Fantastic Four).
