"Down & Out in the Bialyan Hills" (Part 1)

• Tampa, Florida (Ybor City) - The Dead Spot Saloon. Never was a bar more appropriately and yet sadly named. The proprietor and sole employee is Floyd Lawson. The costumed community used to know him as the World's Finest Assassin aka Deadshot. But those days are behind him. He's retired. Gave it all up and cashed out to live his lifelong dream - owning his own thriving bar right here in the sun soaked Night Club district. Someone forgot to tell his dream about the realities of business start ups in today's economy.
• In walks a lady. That is how these things usually begin. But she's different, remotely familiar even. Fairly attractive. And the only customer this establishment has seen in days, not counting that guy from the bank threatening to foreclose the place. Claims to be a president, dictator, or maybe prime minister...what's the difference? Anyways, she's involved in a power struggle with a bitter rival, some crazed tyrant. She needs to take him out to restore order to her beloved country, Bilaya (may have to mapquest this one.) She needs Deadshot. He's retired. She's offering one million dollars of her nation's funds when the job is complete. That would keep the bank off his back and put him knee deep in piña coladas for the foreseeable future. He's now unretired, on one stipulation - he will need some backup. And he knows just the fella.
• United Republic of Tanzania - Not many private planes land in this remote region of Tanzania. Big game hunters. A few journalists. Those who deal with highly illegal or socially frowned upon pursuits. That sounds about right. But the locals know exactly who Floyd and "Queen" Bee are looking for when they start asking around. They seek the Ghost Beast, the one who lives with Lions. For a price they will guide them out into the wild, where the Ghost will find them.
• The night is much darker in the African wilderness than it appears on TV. And louder. But they never hear the Ghost until his blade is pressing against their throats.
  "Hello Thomas. Long time no see. If you let the lady live, she's got a job for us."

As far a best line - obviously I love the Gotham Line and the awesome work all our Gotham plotters put in. It's gonna be an awesome ride. I could vote for it every month no doubt. But as "editor" of the line I am a bit biased. So to be fair to the other lines I am going to exclude Gotham from my ballot and this month I really dig the small but devilishly entertaining books on the Cursed Dawn side. So my vote for June goes to Cursed.

As with Global, I'm also biased for the Gotham line as I have one solo & co-plotting another there. However, I also plot in the Steel line as well. ��I Left My Heart In Gotham City��, but my vote this month goes to the Cosmic Dawn! Liking what I see there, and hope to plot a Lobo ongoing in that line eventually.

For my pull list, I'm only going to pull as many titles here as I do in "real life"...otherwise I would be pulling the entire New Dawn line, and I haven't planted one of those talking money trees yet with the googly eyes.
