It should be a lion, there is a golden age story about a talking lion. A talking tiger, to my knowledge, has no precedent in Wonder Woman lore.

Rocket Raccoon worked because GOTG had a comedic tone. Wonder Woman chatting it up with a tiger would throw the audience completely out of the film.

I'm a little sad they aren't using the jet, but it's not make-or-break for me. She still has pretty much everything else.

Whenever the/a tiger makes or breaks the film depends on how the tiger is actually portrayed... like Rocked was depicted like the biggest a-hole of the entire bunch, yet thats somehow endearing because he's also the smallest, the fuzziest and the one with all the gadgets.

Likewise the tiger could fit in by playing it with a straight face, it's a tiger that talks. Kinda like no one thinks a man with the lower body of a horse is goodfy or a man with a bull's head is in the world of Greek mythology. Plus you could always go the Azzarello/Chiang route and give it a modern touch, like Trials of Shazam... when Tawky for once dropped the tweed jacket:

Now....why do some people call inhabitants of Theiscyra 'Amazonians'??? Isn't 'Amazons' just fine and less clunky????

Probably, but adding the "ians" onto the end makes it sound more "official" I guess. Although honestly calling them "Themiscyrians" would be more accurate since that's referring to the actual place/country.

I think it's just an erroneous personal thing people do because it's done at other times like when you say 'Americans', 'Romans' or 'Romanians' and not knowing 'Amazons' is a certain name for a certain people who could live anywhere.
