This is my ideal team for Uncanny. I'd like for Emma, Laura, the bOre5, Kitty, the BMB creations and Cuckoos to be part of the book but not part of the active field team (Emma, Kitty and the O5 have All-New).

Bishop working with Scott after Messiah Complex-AvX would be a dream come true. I can imagine Emma being completely fine with it. Frenzy standing by Scott's side after their marriage in AoX (causing Emma to be petty). Daken to piss off Logan. Rachel joins because her friends are there plus she agrees with Scott more than she'll ever agree with Logan and Storm; plus, her teen mom is there for her to watch over. Danger because the team needs a Sage-type.

It also meets lots of diversity holes: Daken (Asian & bi/omnisexual), Bishop (Austrailian/Black), Frenzy (Black female), Magik (Russian), Danger (inorganic/cyborg), Rachel (closeted lesbian). This would be my ideal team.

Jean Grey: psionics and team moral compass
Emma Frost: telepathy and diamond form; fun interactions with Cyclops and Jean and Banshee and Storm
Banshee: flight, sonic abilities, older veteran; relationship with Emma
Magik: transport, soulsword & sorcery; bad ass; interaction with Storm
Storm: iconic and best friends with Jean, frenemies with Emma
Wolverine: murder; interesting interactions with Cyclops, Jean, and Storm

My team has a mix of family issues and chances for new friendships.

Cyclops: Leader, grooming Dani to be his number 2
Dani Moonstar: Repowered with Psychic Arrows
Magik: Teleporter, sorceress and badass. Becoming besties with Dani and Shiro
Sunfire: Team Hothead and Powerhouse. Relates to Magik
Cypher: Linguist and team geek
Rachel Grey: TK/TP with daddy issues, but trying to move on
Colossus: Team Muscle and back to being sensitive. Learning to have a relationship with Magik that isn't abusive or creepy.

For a team premise it's a group of Havok-sympathizers that helps him with things that he can't get the Uncanny Avengers to do. Jean returns and Karima's Sentinel powers return both as the result of an overblown crossover event in which Roderick Kingsley and what's left of the Hellfire Club team up to make franchise knockoffs of the X-Men's rogues gallery.

Rachel Summers and Doctor Nemesis get "close".

Kitty would still be dating Peter, long distance.
