Perfect X-Team - 7 members

Love this thread. It's been very fun reading though everyone's ideas.

The platform for my team would go back to when Storm formed the X.S.E. I don't think that idea was fully played out before Storm was shifted to the Avengers editorial control due to her marriage to the Black Panther. Basically the team has world wide clearance backed by the UN to enforce peace between mutants, humans and now Inhumans.

My Line Up:

Storm - Leader and elemental powerhouse. She's the one the world is trusting to ensure there isn't a civil war between mutants, humans or the inhumans.
Magneto - 2nd in Command - Master of magnetism and (sometimes) brutal protector of mutants. Working with Storm to ensure mutants get the best possible chance, and to cut off their enemies at the knees.
Legion - telepathic powerhouse and unpredictable nut bringing spice and choas to the team. Working with Storm to honor his father's dream.
Namor - Working with Storm hoping to atone for what he did to Wakanda while part of the Phoenix 5.
Blink - from AOA. Teleporter and good hand to hand fighter. Working on the team as she is a follower of Magneto from her own universe.
Gambit - Kinetic energy manipulating wild card of the team. Storm asked for his help and he could never tell her no.
Prodigy - The team smart guy. He is working to restore his powers as well.

This team is great! I just finished rereading Spurrier's take on Legion. Zero to hero in two seconds. Brilliant. I'd only change out Storm, because I don't like her (personal taste). I'd make Bishop the leader. Great team set up though. I'd add Frenzy too. Loved the direction Carey took her in.

Mystique, Deadpool and Fantomex under S.H.I.E.L.D surveillance. Psylocke in charge of keeping them in check.
Much like the suicide squad, this S.H.I.E.L.D Mutant Division recruits imprisoned mutants to execute dangerous black ops missions in exchange for clemency. So future rosters would have more villains joining and leaving the team such as Spiral, Vertigo, Lady Deathstrike, Lady Mastermind, Frenzy, Empath, Unuscione, Inverted Sabertooth, a random Marauder/acolyte, Bishop, Moses Magnum and so on.

Headquartes: S.H.I.E.L.D Mutant Division office.
What/who they would go against: Rogue Mutants powerhouses and villains that could threat the US and the world on bio or tech-war level. Mr sinister, for instance.

Finally a on the rebel; team with Cannonball, Magma, Monet, Blink, Sunspot, Surge, Marrow, Teen Angel, Kid Gladiator and Velocidad

Nightcrawler: Witness to mass executions while operating as a solo hero during Terrigen Plague Anti-Mutant Riots.
Old-Man Logan: Survivor of the mass slaughter of the heroes of his dimension, including being manipulated into killing the other X-Men, and losing his own family to murderous, cannibalistic Hulks.
Scarlet Witch: Confused over her identity (Mutant? Witch? Other?) and the constant manipulations that have led her to madness time and again.
The Integrated Iceman: Young and Old Iceman merged into a single entity, struggling with conflicting memories and coming to terms with his sexual identity.
Rogue: Partly there to support Wanda. Partly there to deal with sharing a psyche, this time with Simon "Wonderman" Williams
Havok: Survivor of a loss of his daughter in the divergent Planet X timeline, traumatic scarring, and seeking to regain his previous psychological profile as a courgaeous, stable, leader after being trapped inverted.

For a 3rd, darker X-book, I'd pick Emma Frost, Magik, Magneto, Mystique, Warpath, Hellion, and Legion (I haven't read any stories featuring Legion, but he seems interesting).
