Main Team, A La Uncanny
Cyclops: my man. believe the hypeclops. ((Dead Jean. Broken up with Emma. Frenzy is off being a hero. Maria Hill isn't his type. Maybe he finds Lee or a nice yet familiar alaskan gal)) broken-ish powers, NOW-costume, Rightclops leads this team, phwoar
Magik: the magik schoolbus. super-sorcceress, NOW costume, exceedingly demonic
Psylocke: a cerebro HM slave.
Archangel: drone.
Warpath: where's this tank been since AvX, this is one non-crude dude. also, the muscle. less flight, more knives.
X-23: Laura, not Wolverine. You know Nightcrawler's face when she kills someone in front of him in Second Coming? picture everyone having that face every time she gets anywhere close. damaged to high hell. on the same team as magik because i never could resist mentally unstable women. ((note to editorial:: i need to see unstable magik and laura have some mad bromance. hell, straight up romance. can't be much worse than mama goose warren))
Sunspot: his entire role is to have a constant dick measuring contest with Warpath. also, he's the convenient financial backer of the X-Team (such as Angel and Emma before him)
I tried, really hard, to limit myself to one team. Could not be done.
Younger B-Team, A La New Mutants
Chamber: no face, no chest, control somewhere between end of Gen-X and modern era. emo, moody, sombre, english. all you want in a team leader
Husk: without dissociative identity disorder, total mess anyway, but in a charming teenager way
Wallflower: Best mutant of all god-damn time, don't mess. i feel like husk and wallflower would be friendship goals
Elixir: omega healer, no instant knowledge of medicine but can have that telepathically streamed as needed
Mercury: why is this badass relegated to wallpaper. some x-kids i understand, but c'mon you ain't gonna do the god damn T-2000 like that.
Surge: pew pew. here to make jokes about hair dye and to serve everyone else coffee in salem centre
Stepford Cuckoos: all five. i cheated to make this team bigger. also, obligatory telepaths
this team is basically superamazingbestfriends and the cuckoos
Everyone on the main team is unstable and everyone on the B team is a mopey teenager
Cyclops
Wolverine
Jean
Storm
Colossus
Nightcrawler
Rogue
Just did a bit of data-collecting by listing everybody's picks from the first two pages, back in 2014, just for kicks:
PERFECT CBR X-TEAM, 2014:
Psylocke (13 votes)
Storm (11 votes)
Cyclops (12 votes)
Rogue (9 votes)
Magik (11 votes)
Colossus (8 votes)
Gambit (8 votes)
Fairly interesting that back in 2014, Psylocke may have been the MOST POPULAR X-MAN OF THEM ALL! 0_o Who'da' thunk it...?
Would be cool to see what the data is like now, two years later - do you CBR-ers still feel the same way...? Most likely not.
Btw, here's my own sort-of dream-team... I'm goin' bigger than 7 tho'! : D I'm'a' maxin' it out!
Cyclops
Beast
Jean Grey
Iceman
Archangel
Storm
Wolverine
Nightcrawler
Shadowcat
Rogue
Psylocke
Colossus
Magik
Gambit
14 DAMN X-MEN!! : D And no other characters, I repeat... no other recurring char's. Basically ALL of the most popular ones.
AND...! To oppose them, I'd put together a dream-team of the Brotherhood! : )
Magneto
Sabertooth
Mystique
Bishop(!)
Sebastian Shaw
Emma Frost (!)
Frenzy (!)
Daken
Fatale
Domina
Bedlam
Amelia Voght
Exodus
Lady Mastermind (Regan Wyngarde)
As you can see, it would be a very interesting team of bad guys - and the ongoing theme would be about their ideological differences, and how many of them are conflicted about what they're doing, as well as how the X-men should respond to their dastardly deeds. ; )
Cyclops
Emma Frost
Jean Grey
Warpath
Beast

Hmm, what would be the mission-statement of this book then? What would these youngsters actually be doing? Mainly going to school and learning to control their powers, sort of the classic way of these books? Would it be in the Grey or Xavier institute btw? Or would it be more like X-men: Evolution, with them going to a regular school, and trying to fit in with the humans?
