A guy from that time who comes to my mind, though, is Ty Hardin.

Check out Ty Hardin in PT 109. From this photo still it looks like Ty step right onto the island Olive Queen train on.

Exactly the same impression I got (though he could have handled the pre-Bronze Age look with equal aplomb, too). In fact, the first time I ever saw him was in that movie (back in the late '70s - I never saw an episode of Bronco until this century).

That's great. (although as TDD indicates we're kind of retroactively projecting the Bronze-Age Neal Addams GA look, back onto 66)
Still, just imagine if along with the 66 Green Hornet crossover and spin-off they'd done a parallel Green Arrow spin-off show at the time.
Further, imagine Barris having designed an Arrow-Car, would have been legendary.

Or the Winfield designed "Reactor Mach II" car, aka Kirk's Jupiter 8 used as catwoman's catmobile, stripped down of it's campier cat elements, would have worked great

.



Or for a more retro version they could have straight re-purposed the Golden Arrow land speed racer.

Lurch and by extension the Addams actually exist in the 66 universe.

They both have a similar over-the-top campy humor, just never actually fully teamed up.

I wouldn't take his powers away, or rather just make them gadget based, attributed to some electric belt gizmo.
Penguin and Joker had plenty of gadget based tricks.
