Default Shouldn't it be MOGO Not OA?

This solicit from GoCollect for the JL: Gods & Men Green Lantern issue confuses me, i was under the impression the Darkside War story was after Lights Out & GodHead in realation to GL but if its set on OA does that make it before or is the solicit wrong?

"With the Green Lantern Corps threatened by a strange extinction-level event on Oa, only Hal Jordan and John Stewart remain to save the Corps--and themselves-from joining Darkseid's army forever!"

Solicits aren't written by the issue's writer (and before the actual script is completed), so they're often misleading or just wrong.

It should be Mogo, yeah. In JL 42 (I think? maybe 43) Hal mentions the GLC had a run in with the New Gods, so Godhead already happened and Oa blew up a while ago.

I think this is probably an example of "story > continuity" and tweaking a story to accommodate trade readers. Somebody picking up the Justice League trades a few months or years from now wouldn't necessarily know that Mogo has been GLC headquarters for a while.

Yeah i went back and took a look at my JL comics and Hal does mention the New Gods, but he says they attacked OA, so I guess it is a story over continuity thing, but yea hopefully that was just a mistake on the editors/solicits part and the actual comic will take place on MOGO. Otherwise thats one big/ annoying continuity error. XD.

I'm absolutely sure they guy who wrote that is the one who's wrong. Geoff Johns is obsessive about continuity and details.

His own. Not so much those of earlier writers.

A few things of note for how it could play out.

Mogo is certainly the home of the GLC now, but even though he's mobile, they do still anchor in Sector 0000, the location of the ruins of Oa.

And continuity-wise it's probably something like:

    JOHNS GREEN LANTERN RUN
JOHNS JUSTICE LEAGUE TO FOREVER EVIL/AFTERMATH
VENDITTI GREEN LANTERN RUN TO GODHEAD
JOHNS AMAZO VIRUS AND DARKSEID WAR

Minor snafu, I think. Not something totally pay-attentionable.

It is kinda funny when a writer bothers to reference something but still gets certain details wrong .
