He's Adam X. Didn't you see the broken glass labeled "Adam" in issue 4?
So I'm sorry if this question is out of line, but a couple of issues ago, who was the girl angel was talking to at Heaven? Was it or was it not Jean?
Wait, Jean in this AoA is working as a hostess at Heaven? Was that confirmed to be Jean? Seems weird that she would be doing something like that instead fighting beside X-Men. Are you sure that it wasn't Havok's love interest named Scarlett McKenzie? She worked as a hostess at Heaven during the original AoA.
Though a different version of the character, would not Apocalypse's powers prevent the virus from actually infecting him, given his control over his body on a level more primary than the genetic level? Would not his powers overloading actually increase his control over his form (as that is his power) instead of decrease them as turning into a puddle of goo would symbolize (as a weakening of bonds)?
An actual overload of such powers would be better symbolized as the character's control extending beyond their own physical form but their consciousness may not cope with such a rapid progression. Like say his "form" (as his consciousness would see it) would extend to Battleworld itself but his mind would become something different and he'd essentially become a non-threat, by all purposes a vegetable or something beyond human, a non-anthropomorphic creature. Kind of like what happened to Joseph when he became one with the magnetosphere of Earth or The Living Monolith becoming a living planet.
I don't think that's the same Jean as the current one we see in AoA seems to have gotten a lobotomy.
I've been really enjoying this series! All gaudy, and big, and super 90s.
