NBC Orders "Taken" Prequel Series

I haven't seen these movies but I can see how this would work. The main character learns his particular set of skills over the course of 5 to 7 seasons.

It all depends on who they get to play the young liam neeson. I vote for Gareth David-Lloyd.

However, the television show will play with time a bit as it’ll be set in present day and not in the past — and also presumably not star Liam Neeson.

In other words, the series is NOT a prequel but rather some generic spy/action series using the "Taken" name for brand recognition.
