Oh, I know. That's already a pretty joyfully cynical marketing tactic.

I really hope that as soon as (hopefully not for a long time) the writing's on the wall for it, they just go all out with cynical comic-book cover gimmicks though.

I posted on twitter that #7 is rumored to have a possible death of a major DC character, hinting at Harley Quinn, and said to be sure to stock up.

I almost smacked my mother out of pure joy.
I almost fainted because I thought the end of the world was coming
DC listening to the fans.
Now that's a MVP move.

Now it's up to use to support the book, and buy it when it comes out.
I know some may go for the trade, but if the monthly sales are not good, then a hope for a Part 2 might be a dream.

I wonder what factors (other than just fan support on social media) were at play. I know Rich Johnston posted an article about Tom King talking about the 12-issue commitment a few days ago. Or perhaps DC recognizes King's rising profile.

I have a feeling it's more of whatever they had to replace it-didn't pan out and in reality what do you have to lose letting this book and even GL Lost Army do 12 issues? You are going to take it on the chin when Marvel fires up-letting this continue is probably the best you can do.

Oh, also -- I'm trying to get out of the monthly comics game, but Vol. 1 trade pre-ordered, and I'm someone who hasn't yet read the series beyond previews.
