The Reality of the Unrealistic Facebook !

Bare in mind folks before I begin this , none of these examples fit anyone from CBR. This is some things you shall see from Facebook I have experienced the past 6-8 years I have had an account. These are the unrealistic things you see from facebook life. The people you rarely interact with and do a head smack at times.





The Angry Insane Right Winger - Years ago South Park had an episode where an angry insane Tea Party guy yells out ; "Damn right I'm mad , this country is going to hell and we have 30 days before the oil runs out !"

Anyhow the Insane Right Winger is a staple I have seen many bring up. Usually its a friend of a friend who comes on and says something so insanely dumb you try and debate it. You try and tell him , look ....Barack Obama isn't a Muslim Socialist Communist . You post articles and links to refute this insane claim and how he was in fact a Christian man. But its all WRONG. Insane right winger refuses to accept the evidence because Xenu has told him , that Obama isn't and Xenu is never wrong !

Anyhow debating this repeatedly exhausts me. So many of these guys seem to merge into one. I've had many proclaim me "dumb" , "pathetic" , "moron" , "crazy" , and swear words I can't mention. Debating the insane right winger will make you question humanity at times. Hell at this very moment , I have just finished beating an insane Right Winger to the point he clearly is swearing into his computer. All I did was use links and facts.



Its All about....ME ! - Usually in some groups , someone will come into a FB group ....and take it over. I have witnessed this first hand as one such lady joined a group I had to eventually quit from. I won't say the group or what it was about. But the group was about a fun thing which soon became more about this woman coming in ..and detailing which BITCH done pissed her off that day.

To make it more comical , imagine scrolling down a page and there is 6 posts about her anger at some dumb bitch she hates. It got so bad , one member comically asked her to let it go. Yet , she gets angry and demands her freedom to continue. Oddly the admins seemed to dig this insanity and it continued til I quit. Others quit as they grew tired of this woman coming in , throwing her fit on this woman (who wasn't a member of the group at all. Yes folks , this girl never was a member , yet for months this woman went off on her).




The Dude with A Number of Kids , who keeps getting more women - One of the most interesting silly things on facebook I have encountered is the unreal aspect that a man with a number of kids seems to be able to impress women a lot. In fact one dude I have seen has 8 kids with 4 different women. Yet oddly these women all seem happy to throw themselves at him.

And what makes it more silly is Octo-Dad isn't a good father at all. In fact I have head smacked as one ex has complained how he won't pay child support repeatedly. While the other current girlfriend is so desperate for this man to stay , she sings his praises as he cusses her out and more online. Its one of the funniest things I have seen the past year or two.

Maybe its the fact the current one has such shitty self esteem in her life and wants to hang onto someone who is awful. Oh well...the best you can do is sit back and watch the show unfold.




There are more examples you can think of for sure. I could list a ton more. But what makes Facebook fun in a way is running into these very people and seeing this play out in a way. How bad can it be ? How wrong will they be ?

Heh, Facebook has really turned into a cesspit after it took over what Myspace started. Ive been trying to talk myself into finally just deleting mine and being rid of it for good.

Also, trying to debate people on the internet seems pretty pointless to me. I have tons of those friends that are seemingly always trying to debate people over the most trivial things. I find them even more annoying than the crazy right wingers.

Are we forgetting religious person who doesn't do anything religious? Thanks Jesus every ten seconds for all the blessings in his or her life, constantly finds reasons to name drop the big J in your group, been divorced three times, never goes to church, quick to take offense if you use bad language, doesn't realize three of the members of your group are gay and messaging you about how funny she is.

I only use Facebook as a means of keeping in touch with people outside of forums or wherever we happened to meet. I generally don't get too active there, and avoid too much politics on my own page (though I will occasionally discuss political issues such as big corporate donors corrupting the system and so on with friends, and share a few political articles).

Since I don't get involved in a lot of Facebook discussions, I tend to be able to avoid the types of people described in the opening post.

Sometimes I wish it was as easy to delete an FB account as it is to delete MySpace.
Someone started an account after hacking into one of my emails, I can't delete that FB account.

Yeah, I had someone take over an old account that I'd "deleted" (to set up a sunglasses shop...there can't be that big a draw for sunglasses, that's got to be a phishing scam). It took me weeks of going back and forth with them to get them to acknowledge that I was who I was and to allow me access to it (which I then stripped of every picture and contact and "deleted" it AGAIN). To this day, I still get notifications of people trying to get into that account, but they're locked out.

The annoying poster types are what the unfriend and blocking features are for. I use them vigorously. Also, when FB tells me about random person X's birthday, if I haven't been in contact with random person X, I usually unfriend them. Amazing how much nutty stuff that trims.
