In the animated universe, he's (technically) "met" him twice. Once in Avengers:EMH and in one of his daydreams in USM.

Galactus is going to be over in Ultimates, and the first arc of Miles' new book is going to be a continuation of Spider-Men, and Cataclysm did happen, so… maybe it depends on how much Peter has to do with Miles' book? Though Ultimates is also a continuation of Mighty Avengers, so that might be a reason to involve Peter. It's not much to go on, but I guess if you'd like some books to head in that direction, Ultimates and Spider-Man would be good options. Even if they don't do that, hopefully they'd at least manage to keep you interested for other reasons.
