Amy Grant To Host Niece’s Same-Sex Wedding, Believes Jesus Wants Us To ‘Love God and Love Each Other’

In between Amy Grant and Gladys Knight, the Kennedy Center Honors recognized two Christian artists who showed that being religious does not mean you have to be a bigot. Knight was born a Southern Baptist, became a Catholic and then a Mormon (!) and yet always has been an ally, from supporting the early drag community at the Appollo Theater to participating in the very first major AIDS benefit, "That's What Friends Are For" with Dionne Warwick, Elton John and Stevie Wonder.

    Any Haddotin fans out there?
I've never been into Tintin before but a few days ago I stumbled upon a retweet of some fan art posted by the artist of my avatar, Butch Mclogic, by the very talented Hadsbae and now I'm hooked.
Searching the internet, there's a whole community that ships them.
    Sweet!

Here in Cincinnati Bob Huggins head coach of West Virginia men's basketball was on The Bill Cunningham Show. Bill Cunningham is a well know right wing voice on local air waves and has been part of WLW 700 for many many years.

During the interview Bob Huggins made a homphobic slur 2 times and host Cunningham laughed each time.

Bob Huggins did the normal im sorry tweet after. And West Virginia is reviewing the situation.

What really upsets however is how little reaction there has been from the radio station. Not only has Cunningham not said sorry for laughing at the slur more then one time. He has said nothing about the incident and his show was on the air like normal. 700 Wlw has said nothing and neither has I Heart Radio who owns 700 Wlw.

So not only did a high profile man use a slur 2 times in one interview. The host laughed about it. And nothing is being done to the host. Heck nothing is being said about the host and his reaction.

THe slur was bad enough but the reaction to it is saying "Hey its okay to laugh at a slur as long as you are not the one who said it.

I am pretty upset about the whole situation right now.

    J. Harrison Ghee and Alex Newell Make History as First Nonbinary Acting Winners at Tony Awards

Actors J. Harrison Ghee and Alex Newell have made history at this year’s Tony Awards, becoming the first openly nonbinary performers to win acting prizes. Ghee won lead actor (musical) for their performance as Jerry/Daphne in Casey Nicholaw’s “Some Like It Hot,” while Newell walked away with the featured actor (musical) statuette for their role as Lulu in Jack O’Brien’s “Shucked.”

“My mother raised me to understand that the gifts God gave me were not about me,” Ghee said. “To use them to be effective in the world. For every trans, nonbinary, gender non-conforming human — whoever was told they couldn’t be, couldn’t be seen, this is for you. ‘Some Like It Hot’ and that ain’t bad.”
Nice. Glad to see Unique from Glee is still having success and awards!

Oh good for them! Also major props to our LGBT+ superstar Ariana DuBose for hosting the Tonys without a script! Takes a lot of courage, so kudos to her!

Is it just me or is participating in Pride Month more than just an empty gesture by corporations all of a sudden? I'm grateful for every one standing up to the Maga Sharia crowd.

It seems like a lot of companies will put out a Pride Display and say hey we are on your side. Some of it does ring empty. there was a local clothing store that had their Pride Display right next to a display of Trump gear. Talk about tone deaf.

I have been trying to watch LGBT+ anime after finishing Demon Slayer (NOT LGBT+ but very vague, shall we say, which I like) on Netflix (UK), and it's not that easy. Either I don't like the art (Devilman Crybaby), the gay love isn't important OR it's so coded you wonder if it was intended of just wishful thinking (Tiger and Bunny), most just aren't up to scratch. BUT Heaven Official's Blessing is GORGEOUS! Oh how I loved this series, what a treat. Wonderful story telling, complex characters, evolving plot, beautifully drawn, it's glorious. I'd heavily recommend it AND season 2 is coming out, at some-point, so you can freely allow yourself to become invested because the adventure will continue.

The Hungarian minister of Culture fired the director the National Museum in Budapest, who had been seen as a supporter of Victor Orban in the past.
Reason for his terminaton: László L. Simon did not make the "World Press Award" exhibition "adults only". By doing that, he ran astray of the country's so called child protection laws which bans depiction of homosexuality.

The highly pornographic image in question: a photograph of older queer men in a Philippines retirement home for elderly LGBTQIA people.

I was surprised that they hadn't done so already with the popularity of their BL movies and Tv shows.
