Yes, first and foremost it's unquestionably terrible that she opted for suicide at such a young age (or at all); my thoughts go out to her family and friends, it's a frightful loss. The reports say that she had been suffering from depression, though... I think that's the most important thing to take into consideration. That even without her catching all the flak for her tweet [and it was a very poorly phrased tweet that justifiably offended many], there were likely other factors in her life that drove her to take this tragic way out. So at the risk of sounding controversial, I think her final altercation on Twitter must be viewed as incidental, and ultimately not as something that contributed to her death. I am too familiar with the demons of depression and suicidal thought; it's true that you will see minor setbacks through a giant magnifying glass. But it's not the minor setbacks that bring you down, it's your entire state of mind itself-- and if you or someone in your close circle can recognize this, then it's paramount that you seek out help.

It's so horrible to hear about these people killing themselves. It must be a tough life.

I have noticed porn seems to have become a lot more mainstream lately. A lot of gay media outlets covered the #gaypornsowhite problem and that "not in front of my salad" meme really took off. In fact, did you know Manila Luzon from Rupaul's drag race played Wonder Woman in the justice league gay porn?

It's a strange world though, especially for the actors. For the first time people are debating politics with them which I'm not sure any other era has ever had, beyond issues that reflect them personally like censorship or condom laws

Yes, and they said the same for Ian Curtis and many others, because the pressures of being a rockstar likely contributed to their deaths.

Thank god for that, but an alarming amount of porn actors do commit suicide compared to doctors, teachers, and clerks. It's not unreasonable to assume their profession -- and the heavy stigmas that come with it, which are mostly unfair and hypocritical-- is a main factor in their deaths.

I don't know why people have so much hate for them. I've been on boards (not here) where people say it serves them right when they become HIV + or commit suicide. How can people love the product so much and hate the people involved so much.

Then again loving the product and hating the creatives is exactly what happens all the time in the comic book world lol.

While there is no knowing for certain, Curtis was a sort of particular case. It's not like stardom was the only thing in play.
