The later monthly series, but even more so, the even more obscure originals; from minicomics that were packed in with the game cartridges, and the theme of the Arcade game.

Team A.T.A.R.I. from the (Advanced Technology And Research Institute):
    -Martin Champion - commander
-Lydia Perez - pilot of the Scanner One/Liberator
    -Li-San O'Rourke - security officer.
    -Mohandas Singh - engineer
-Dr. Lucas Orion - medical officer
-and alien Hukka - team mascot.

James Robinson & Darwyne Cooke did a pretty modern take on Madam Fatal in the Shade book.
    Did you read it?

I'd like to see a Freedom Beast book where he's mentored by Vixen as a newer Guardian of the Red.

THE SIGNAL (Duke Thomas) is DC's secret shonen protagonist so I made him a fandom wiki

also, check out "The Signal Tape" a Duke Thomas fan project.

    currently following:
    • DC: Red Hood: The Hill
    • Marvel: TBD
    • Manga (Shonen/Seinen): One Piece, My Hero, Dandadan, Jujutsu Kaisen, Kaiju No. 8, Reincarnation of The Veteran Soldier, Oblivion Rouge, ORDEAL, The Breaker: Eternal Force

Wow New Teen Titans Annual #1 (1985)
I hope everyone wrote in for more!

I think if they did a story arc where they momentarily take on civilian (human) ID's for a bit, they could jump back.

I would take Captain Fear and/or the Black Pirate. Maybe in a comic like this . . .

I've never seen them - were they a riff on the Fantastic Four?

Not really, only very superficially, for one there were five of them, Nebula not pictured. (although she dies in the story) They are all aliens, and have a sentient shape shifting ship too, so arguably are still five.
Although I guess you could draw somewhat labored parallels between their powers and temperaments:

Solaar / Human Torch (Thermal Energy
Scanner / Invisible Woman /( Mental projections (not exactly
Dwarf Star / Thing (Unmovable Heavyweights
    Anti-Matterman / Mr. Fantastic (volatile (you can't touch them)? That's a stretch
    DRONE / H.E.R.B.I.E. LOL!
    Yeah not really.

These remind me; wasn't there a group of forgotten DC western, swashbuckling, chivalry, and adventure heroes who got maybe time jumped in All-Star Squadron and had to come together as a team? (Maybe building up to Crisis?)

Miss Liberty [Bess Lynn], Super-Chief, Strong Bow, Arak Son of Thunder, Silent Knight [Brian Kent], Viking Prince, Golden Gladiator, Valda the Iron Maiden, Trigger Twins, The Roving Ranger, Black Pirate [Jon Valor], Don Caballero, maybe others?

I'd love to see them team-up in a book again!

    Edit: Found image...
I think most of them were already on the obscure list even when they teamed-up then, even more so now.

Can we call them the All Obscure-Squadron.

I guess their surprising showing on Supergirl takes them out of obscurity, but as far as I know they've been absent from the books, I wouldn't mind seeing a version of the Elite get another go at their own miniseries.

Apparently re-imagined as the Grim Ghost.
Would you have him reclaim his original name?

A good chunk of the new characters created for the New 52. Except for when they need cannon fodder in a big crossover down the line.
