Default Who is your best Star Trek main character "Smart Person"?

These are admittedly getting harder to create because its hard to find topics that encompass as much of Trek as possible without leaving certain series out. Anyway, today's topic.

When going into space, there's tons of things that can't be explained that utterly befuddles the mind of explorers. In this case, its best to approach the Science Officer, or in a few cases, the "Smart Person" that seems come up with answers to explain things to others that are not life as we know it.

In this poll, give your vote on who is your own personal favorite smarty-pants: Spock, Data, Dax, Seven of Nine, T'Pol, and New Spock.

Classic Spock. He is in fact my favorite science fiction character of all time, in all media, and probably my favorite TV character of all time.

It's very close between Prime Spock and Data for me but I just about went for Data since I grew up on TNG.

This is a toughie for me personally since nearly all of them were so good. I'd say it's a tossup between Data and Seven of Nine.

This isn't going to win me any points, but I just finished a marathon re-watch of TOS on Netflix last night, and have come to the conclusion that the series as a whole (and Spock in particular) is pretty overrated.

Don't get me wrong, I will forever be indebted to TOS and Roddenberry because without them, some of my all time favorite television (TNG and DS9) would never have been made. However, I think over years the myth/legend has consumed the reality.
