Default A question about CGC Grading and Signatures

I have a CGC Graded Book that I would like to get signed.

If I brought it to CGC at their table during the show, would they be able to remove the case?

I see these signature books from different people marked at different times and wondering how they did it.

If I remember correctly, they will not open a case. You will have to do it.

Signature series is done via their witness or a signing they do.

Doesn't writing in a CGC book lower the grade?

I have a question about submitting signed books to CBCS.
Do they accept Certificates of Authenticity (COA) from respectable institutions like Midtown Comics and/or Dynamic Forces, to be graded as Authentic Signature (ASP)?

Reason I ask is that I saw an item in Midtown Comics, showing a "Gold Signature Series" tag on the item but it says "with COA". I thought it was CGC SS Graded already since they're using 'Gold Signature Series' on the title:

Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

CGC does not acknowledge COAs from anyone else. Unless its own rep is present and witnesses a signing it won't be certified as an authentic signature.

So your book will get a QUALIFIED label, meaning it can still get a nice grade for being in pretty shape BUT the signature will be considered as writing on the book.
