Create a DC Fighting Game Roster

Imagine a new DC fighting game is in development, with a roster of 30 characters - plus 2 bonus secret characters. You have been given the authority to choose the roster. Who do you go with? I'll keep track of the most popular selections in this top post.

Oh man, I love threads like these - and with Injustice now a popular franchise I feel it's not just day-dreaming, haha. Apart from the 'obvious' choices, I feel there's only so many wild-cards you can put in. I mean, there's at least 10-15 pre-chosen slots (Batman, WW, Supes, Joker, Harley Quinn, the Flash, GL, Lex Luthor, Aquaman, Cyborg, Green Arrow, Catwoman, etc.).

So, on that basis, I'm just going to submit a some more offbeat choices that I, personally, would love to see in a DCU fighting game/Injustice sequel, and they'd be...

-Etrigan (so much moveset potential!);
-Shining Knight (either version);

-Swamp Thing;

Yeah, that's off the top of my head, I'm sure there's many I forgot, and I'm already assuming that the obvious list of Batman, WW, etc. would take precedence over this (and there aren't enough villains in my list) but it's very hard to decide! :P

I was originally thinking about using Darkseid as the villain but then I thought of a perfect storyline with Brainiac it would be like Panic in The Sky mixed with Convergence.

You'd have all these different skins used and the storyline would be characters trapped in a city trying to get out for their survival. Think a Flashpoint Wonder Woman skin greeting a Wally West Flash skin. Or Red Sun Superman meeting Earth 3 Power Ring.

Skins would change character dialogue maybe texture of powers and obviously appearances.

Skins would have Classic Appearances Underwear Supes and Modern as well red belt Supes theyd also include diffent characters with similar powersets Cyborg Supes and Ultraman.
My 2 guest characters are hard to pick I think I'd go with Heman and Kratos but I'd have other considerations like characters from the MK franchise like Raiden or Shang Chi maybe Star Trek or even Buggs Bunny.

Yeah, I gotta agree with sirjustin that there's at least fourteen/fifteen characters you *have* to use; mainly the Big Seven and their primary villains. But I think, instead of going with the obvious choices like Lex Luthor or Joker, a good game could get inventive and use weirder villains. Rather than Joker, use Clayface. Rather than Lex, use Toyman. Rather than Ares, use Giganta. That way you'd get some real variety in style and ability and other villains could get some spotlight for a change.

So I guess I'd go with something along these lines.
