I'm a comics enthusiast, but just as a branch of my enthusiasm for books, and I have about one hundred comic volumes at home.

I love Alan Moore, but I love also Tintin at the other extreme of spectrum, and Alison Bechdel or Claire Brétecher and many kinds of manga. I'm not an specialist but rather an eclectic dilettante with sudden impulses that I can't explain very well, I'm sorry.

I'm approaching 40 years now, solidly single but with company, and although my main residence is in Switzerland, today I'm stranded elsewhere because of circumstances. My ancestry is very mixed and English is just my fourth language, so I pray your benevolence in reading my texts.

Thank you and a big HELLO!

I am Dave, retired UK police officer of 30 years, 23 years as a dog handler.

Lived in France for 16 years after retirement.

    Now back in the UK.

Hobbies music, football (proper UK football), rugby, cycling, art and reading.

My main Marvel interest is Silver Surfer. I have been a fan ever since my early teens.

IMHO the Silver Surfer 'requiem' 4 book graphic novel is the greatest ever written and produced.

Hi! I'm Chris, I'm German and I have been reading these boards without registering for a while.

I love both American comics as well as Europeans. Manga isn't my thing, I just didn't grow up on it, being in my 40s. Comic books helped me learn both English and French, so my parents always encouraged the habit.

Hello, I feel a bit shy. I don't know much about Marvel or Naruto but I do love Tin-tin, Pokémon, Studio Ghibli and a lot of independent comics I run into randomly, for example: Have you heard of Starchild by James A. Owen (I actually want to know this and see if I'm really the only one out there). My favorite Comic mentors are Jason Brubaker, Colleen Doran and Doug TenNapel. I play as Scarecrow in Injustice 2 (Cause he's a scarecrow and there adorable) and I play as Simon, Shiek and Captain Falcon in Super Smash Bro's, occasionally Ness and Zelda. I consider myself more of a Nerd than a Geek as I get more interested in the technical aspects of my fandoms. I also tend to have more specific and obscure interests for instance Vintage Manga, and stopmotion. I love the short film Blood Tea and Red String for its interesting world and vibe. I like being introduced to new things especially if its weird!

Hello all , my name is Jeffo46 and I am a artist who has worked very briefly in the business for AC Comics and other small indies . I am from Rhode Island and these days besides doing my artwork, I collect Silver age Marvels with some occasional Bronze. The new product that is out today is touch and go with me to be honest. I'm 60 years old and I remember when Comic books used to be fun instead of all dark and gloomy like most of them are today. Just my opinion. Anyway, I thought I'd check this page out and see what happens.

Newbie here. Never really seen the website before but I was looking for a place to talk comics! Cut my teeth with a Ben 10 forum fifteen years ago, joined a History forum about ten years ago and have been there ever since. Looking for something a bit more comic book focused, hence finding this website!

"Please allow me to introduce myself..." (Read as The Rolling Stones' Sympathy For The Devil)

I made an account a while ago but hadn't posted anything yet.
So... Hello, all! I'm a musician (guitarist, singer and composer) and I got into the Marvel stuff through the movies and recently becoming more interested in the actual comics.
Found this place through a recommendation.

Hi, I'm Simon, I'm a 38yr old teacher. An Englishman living permanently in NY since 2011. Rediscovered comics around the same time
Also trying to collect Back issues of Detective Comics vol 1 (around 210 collected), Avengers vol 1 (195 collected) and Daredevil vol 1 (88 issues). Wish I had more time to read and more money to buy!

    Hi,

I am new to the forums. I am a fan of both comics and manga. I read manga more often. I have read comics when I was a kid. But not anymore. Now I read manga.
