    Hello world!

My name is Louis, I'm from Fribourg, Switzerland, and I'm studying computer sciences at the EPFL in Lausanne.

I'm mostly a DC Comics fan, working for the largest french-speaking DC themed website (www.dcplanet.fr), where I do reviews, news and various articles about anything related to DC and/or Vertigo.

Naturally, I read a lot of comics, and I would quote Grant Morrison, Mark Waid and Garth Ennis among my favourite writers. I also love Giffen and DeMatteis' take on the JLI, as well as Neil Gaiman's Sandman, like every other man of good taste.

I'm looking forward to participate on this forum,

    See you guys!

    Whatsup!

Name's David, friends call me Red. I've been wanting to make my own comics since 8. I've always had some issue with drawing, however, as my hands shake like jello which always made my art look strange. After around four years of trying I gave up (booooo) on drawing, but not on comics. So I started writing and producing my own stuff. At the moment I'm just trying to promote and fund my projects, but that's a topic for another day.
While I've been making comics since 2011 I'm new to the comic community. I wanted to have at least one complete project before I presented myself but at the moment I have three incomplete projects, one of which I'm working on at the moment.
I'll post them around here once I post a bit, since I don't want to come off as a shameless advertiser of my own work.

Anyhow I hope to stay a while. This community seems pretty chill.

Hellooooooo. My name is Nick. I love comics of any kind. Superheroes, paranormal, true to life, whatever. I'll read literally anything if it strikes my interest.

Some of my favorite comic book stories of all time are: Len Wein's Original Swamp Thing Run, Neil Gaiman's Sandman run, Grant Morrison's Animal Man run, Sin City by Frank Miller, The Infinity Gauntlet by Jim Starlin, Ultimate Spiderman by Brian Michael Bendis, Rick Remender's Uncanny X-Force run and pretty much anything by Alan Moore.

Favorite writers: Grant Morrison, Alan Moore, Frank Miller, Brian Bendis, Neil Gaiman, Rick Remender.

I'm pretty friendly and I can get along with anyone, so come say hi!

    *edit- I'm also a MASSIVE Earthbound/Mother fan.

    Red face

    Hey hey hey ! ! !

My name is Magda, but on me Nicknamed Babs, or Svetlana Brainy Jane. I have multiple origins (Eastern Europe, England... I was born in Chicago) and I was born in August. I am a multitasking worker, I am writing to pay SEVERAL french websites. I'm stripper and model. I work In other domains, in short I work too.

I am a passionate comic-book where my presence on the forums, I discovered comics via the Batman series of the 60's.. I read comics SINCE More Years On A Twenty Something (my first comics ministers Possession: The Amazing Spider-man 185, Hellblazer 26, Spawn 22, Uncanny X-Men 27 and Detective Comics 360, all in my possession in 1995.) As many I read DC comics, Quebec Marvel, Image, Valiant, Dark Horse Boom and so on. My fetishes are Hellblazer comics, Uncanny X-Men, Batman, Savage Dragon, Spawn, The Invisibles, The Avengers and Amazing Spider-Man.

The comics are for me a job but a passion and above. I am a passionate comic-book from my youth. It allowed me to make fabulous encounters, whether professionally speaking, or pure passion.
My favorite designers are Agnes Garbowska, Alex Maleev, Jim Steranko, Frank Miller, Tony Daniel, Greg Capullo, Todd McFarlane, Howard Chaykin and Olivier Coipel. And I forgot to mentioned Camilla d'Errico, pop psychedelia ... I love Bruce Timm also knows that mix styles as eroticism with brilliantly cartoon, and then his Harley drawings are amazing. The writers I greatly appreciate the work are Grant Morrison, Gail Simone, Frank Miller, Roger Stern, Kelly Sue Deconnick, Ed Brubaker, Greg Rucka, Ann Nocenti, Dan Slott and Chris Claremont.
I am suffering from acute collectionnite and the house in which I live told me that I should calm down a bit, a room solely devoted to comics (I must also complete and file store.)
If you have questions for me, I am ready to respond.

Outside of comics, I'm a true cinephile, I have favorite genres (thrillers, the space opera, Psy-horror, and so on,) but I can watch a Western as a pornographic film, it is an image, but it sums up my thoughts, I laugh of the genre as the script is good, effective staging and pleasant casting.
Love and Other Drugs Edward Zwick is my favorite movie, the film which I never tire for reasons of my own. I also will add the movie The War Lord by Schaffner, Before the Devil Knows You're Dead by Sidney Lumet, Terminator by Cameron, Suspiria by Dario Argento, Tetsuo by Tsukamoto, Conan the Barbarian by Milius, Lost in Translation by Sofia Coppola, United Red Army by Koji Wakamatsu, The Crucible by Nicholas Hytner Sunset Boulevard by Billy Wilder or The Muse Albert Brooks; Star Wars rocked my childhood and I am a fan so. The actors and actresses I love the work are Scarlett Johansson, Carice Van Houten, Anne Hathaway, Milla Jovovich, Eva Green, Olivia Munn, Jackie Chan, Asia Argento, Audrey Hepburn, Jaimie Alexander, Vincent D'Onofrio, Sylvester Stallone, Pam Grier, Jennifer Lawrence, Harrison Ford, Hugh Jackman and Francis Ng. The three directors whose work I enjoy are Tsui Hark, Mario Bava and Sidney Lumet.

I am an absolute fan of James Bond (novels like movies or comics.)

I appreciate the literature also the Splatterpunk is my favorite kind if we put aside the Black novel. I appreciate writers like Clive Barker and Poppy-Z. Brite, but Bruce Sterling, William Gibson, John le Carré, James Ellroy, G. Willow Wilson, Boris Akunin ... My favorite book is Super Folks Robert Mayer and my favorite saga A Song of Ice and Fire by Mr. Martin.
As for music, I enjoy various genres, my love is shared between Punk, Folk, Pop, Jazz, JRock, Funk, Grunge of Country, Blues ... my groups fetishes are Alkaline Trio, NIN, Spirophone, Clan of Xymox, Guitar Wolf, Rockbitch, Death in June, Taxi Girl, Siouxsie and the Banshees and my favorite singer Etta Jones.

I support the Chicago Blackhawks hockey team.

I love writing (many things) drawing in charcoal, the side crayons or oil for painting (landscape especially given that I live in the woods it is not lacking but also portraits, comics and so on.) I also have a telescope (Bushnell) because I am a passionate of stars since childhood and it is easy to get lost in the contemplation of the stars once the eye to the eyepiece. I like nature, living in the country since childhood I love nature, get lost, comic, observe ^^! Photography (my camera is a Sigma SD14 with 17-70mm lens) is one of my hobbies too.

I also read the fumetti and Franco-Belge (Tintin, Ys, Thorgal ...) for those who do not know they are comics that are published in Italy and some titles must evoke something like Diabolik, Mandrake or Martin Mystery is very different from the animated series.
I also read manga, and if I had to name just one particular author, it would Naoki Urasawa which I appreciate most works even though I have not read everything, Monster remains the work that m ' has most marked with the fascinating figure of Johann Liebert. I also mention Junji Ito Lynn Okamoto, Eiji Otsuka, Makoto Yukimura, Kio Shimoku ... the list is long!

I am a follower of Chaos Magick for several years and a meeting that I made when I was a teenager. This influences much she has influenced my life than my relatives directly or indirectly.
I like cooking too, specialty level that ranges from Japanese, Italian, Polish and some other small things. Voila, I do not know what to say after that ...

YEAH my presentation is strange ^-^ , but it's late ... or early, it depends.

    Kisses Kisses

Hi everyone, I'm Ada. I used to be frequenter on Certain Anonymous Imageboard's "comics and cartoons" board*, but I left because I was tired of the ridiculous ignorance, lack of rules, constant complaining about comics that didn't come out yet, and more, and so I decided to find a more reasonable and actually moderated community. Lo and behold, CBR seems to be answer to my question!

About me: I'm a 22 year old mentally ill trans chick from Poland, I liked comics since before I learned to read (I had my older brother read me issues of Disney comics reprints) and never really stopped, I'm currently "starving artist" - and an amateur one, hope to become a proffessional artist for a living, working either in comics, videogames or animation.

My favourite comics of all time are original Ghost in the Shell manga, Akira manga, Watchmen (not as good as people say it is but solid 8,5/10), Sin City: That Yellow Bastard, Mark Millar's run on Authority, Cable & Deadpool, Ostrander's Suicide Squad, Moebius' Arzach, Ron Marz's and Stiepan Sejic's run on Witchblade, Hellboy: Seed of Destruction and webcomic Strong Female Protagonist (it's really good).

I'm not currently following any ongoing series, instead I'm reading comics that have already been published - I'm catching up on entire run of New 52 Batman (I love Batman ever since I was a kid), currently reading through entire run of Ostrander's Suicide Squad, and set myself an ambitious goal of reading every single Spider-Man comic ever published (hey, everyone needs a hobby).

So, hi! I'm looking forward to posting here.

    Hi Shino.
Took me a couple of years to read the majority of Spider-Man comics before reading regularly back when Brand New Day was new. in 2008.

    Hello everyone, newbie here.

I used to read a lot of comics when I was younger. A lot of random marvel comics from 90s I would purchase at the flea market down here. I had subscription for Ultimate Spider-Man and X-men, until Ultimatium when I just let them expire, Partly because I was attending college and still had them being sent home, and partly because they ended Ultimate X-Men. When I found out about Secret Wars, and the "new" Marvel, decided I would pick up a few series while this is going and see how this all turns out.
