Nice interview! There's some stuff I'm looking forward to (taken from a similar interview):

Second, I want to look at Superman as modern American mythology. So he's actually going to be coming into contact with some other mythological characters, other mythological figures. So we'll see modern American myth interacting with much more ancient myth in the next arc.

Could it be an answer to prayer...Romita actually leaving Superman....One can only hope.....and lets return Superman to full power...this ridiculous version of Supes has worn out it's welcome. Time to get powers back, reconcile with Lois, and Kick Diana to the Curb...

I think you're jumping ahead a little bit. Nothing I'd like more than for this storyline to end but I think a Lois/Clark relationship is a ways off.

I agree, although, I have liked Clark and Diana as a couple, I think it's time to put Clark and Lois back together, but I don't see that happening anytime soon, even though Clark and Diana are on the outs pretty soon.

After everything we Wonder Woman fans have had to endure, now lets have Superman dump her and get back with Lois less than a week after. Now that Lois is straight up throwing herself at him...

I think Lois lost her right to tell Superman how he should be when she took away his privacy and ability to protect the people in his life.

Even though it was wrong of her to do it, she had good intentions, it's not like she did just so she can win a Pulitzer or something.

Great plot, but poor execution. Even though some aspects of his new DCYou storyline is somewhat interesting, none of it revolves around Clark being in that equation. The villain is nice, Loise is pretty much the same(which is a good thing), and a few new elements has come up with old characters like Jimmy being uber rich and so forth. However, depowered Superman wore out it's welcome, and became super boring super quick. DC really needs to stop "Batgirling" this series a revert back to meat & potatoes until they get the direction right.
People are complicated. Our behavior towards one another is strange. So I like opportunities to investigate that.

I haven't read 44 yet, but the pages trickling out and the preview and some of the early reviews don't endear a lot of confidence.

I'm this close to dropping SUPERMAN completely, but I'm giving Yang another shot with Porter joining up, plus I think the ideas he is mentioning in the interviews he does are interesting and show he does jave a grasp on the basic fundimentals of the character And his place within comics history. I think he has solid ideas and is good with the supporting cast, but his handling of Supes and the overall execution is lacking.

Perhaps as he settles into monthly floppy schedule and pairing with a better artist will work out those kinks...but I'm almost ready to declare Yangs run another in the long list of mediocre runs on this title.

Hmmm depending on who's on tap, this could be interesting. i have been buying Superman regularly, but I'm not sure why. I'm not a big fan of certain aspects of this story, and the interviews don't exactly instill me with confidence. But, i guess I'm still here for the duration.
