    I present...

    Medieval Longshot

Longshot's was originally born of a family that was known as a travelling sideshow throughout the land. He was a 'skilled' knife thrower and a charmer.

When I heard I got Medieval Longshot, my mind immediately went to Legolas.

    I'll take 80s and #80 next please.

This is one of those times when my coloring "skills" didn't quite yield the awesome result that the original sketch promised. One of these summers I need to take a class at the local arts academy.

Awesome work, you have selected: Beast

I had initially chosen 80s for Cyke, but after sketching him in some preppy clothes it just looked like something Tyke could be seen wearing in today's books, which seemed a bit boring.

JP, excellent work here, well done.

REB, I'll take #82 next, please.
This is great, impressive work, you have selected: Rachel Grey Summers

    #80 Beast - 70s era

The annual Kitty Pryde Pajama Costume Karaoke Contest was Ororo and the Beyonces' to lose, until Hank came waltzing in wearing his authentic (or so he claims) 1970s era Mork and Mindy costume and crooned a little ditty that he called "Mork the Knife." The crowd went wild and I think Hank had his first mike-drop moment. Na nu Na nu!

If it's ok, I'll take #81 and Rogue. Please allow me a moment or two to figure out what era. I just finished re-reading some of Byrne's Last Galactus story, as well as Kirby's Eternals, so I'm thinking of something that is either futuristic, or an "age of the Gods" type thing.

Ok, so after further thought... let's make it #81 Rogue - Modern Era (albeit Neo-Gothic Modern Era). What's old is new again.

Wanted to give you a quick update. I recently had surgery so slowly but surely it's getting done. I am actually 75% done coloring.... So hopefully I'll be done within the next week.

    82. Rachel Grey, 1920s

I had a version of this finished on Tuesday, but I didn't like how the color turned out, so I redid it. Still not completely happy with the beaded areas.

REB, I'll take #92 for my final pick, please.

Thanks. It occurred to me after posting the Cyke drawing that I probably should have used a blue and gold color scheme, so I'm sort of regretting that choice, but it's good to know other people like it.

    #81 Rogue - Modern Era

Designed to be the book end to the earlier Hope Summers piece. The problem with the modern era is that you see a confluence of fashions from so many different eras. The neo-Gothic look came to mind first, so I stuck with it, albeit probably with more punk rock leather undertones than I originally intended. The green and purple (which on some monitors might look gray) were last minute additions. I much prefer the multi-shades of gray scale version, but that's true of all of my work.
