Not just bland, off model. She almost always has her hair tied back, not loose. I don't like Patriot's or Prodigy's either, because they look whitewashed.

You know, I used to REALLY want the America book to go deep into the whole Demiurge thing because it IS relevant to America's story... but now I'm not so sure if I want Gabby Rivera being the one dealing with such a big part of Billy's story. lol

Oh LORD no. And yeah, I feel you on that. That was on my "ooooh" list of "what will we dabble in this book???" but now I'm posting the hazard tape and saying "do not cross" please and thanks.
I mean, no disrespect intended but that's just NOT a mythos I'm confident will be explored beneath that particular lense.

Realistically, I don't imagine it going any further than referencing(?) his role in her world's existence, since the focus SHOULD remain on America herself.

Now that you mention it, I agree. I didn't recognize Eli when I first saw him to be honest. I legit thought he was some new white character going by the name Patriot.

Noh-Varr/Marvel Boy's name is the same as from his short-lived solo series as well.

Even America's logo is bona fide, it belonged to the Golden Age hero.


Loki's is from his Agent of Asgard title. So that just leaves Vision, whose logo there seems to be based on the Avengers logo.

I kind of want Marvel to create some sort of connection between Madeline and America. I think a timey-wimey team up between them would be pretty fun. Chavez is like, one of the few legacy heroes these days who has ZERO relation to her original counterpart. And they're SO radically different from each other... it would be interesting to see that contrast on-page.

Oh yesssssss, I would like that very much. It's really a waste how the YM didn't get used as foes for the YA more often.

No way the main reason I didn't care for Young Avengers Dark Reign was how much they focused on the villains when it felt like we still barely had a status quo with the Young Avengers.
