    Ant-Man and Wasp! Wooo! #Excited

Bummer about Captain Marvel but, really, I think her story can only be enhanced by giving the Inhumans and the Kree more time to develop.

Now that they're going in an increasingly obscure, more diverse direction, Runaways is a perfect fit.

Captain Marvel is being pushed back 4 months. It's not like they'll have an entire year to better the story. I truly think they moved the release date so that they won't have more than 3 movies in 2018.

this is all that matters in your rambling.

Make a good movie, people go see it. And there is no competition so it will have legs.

May used to be a "meh" month. April used to be a "meh" month. Novemeber used to be a "meh" month. August was "meh"

But its proven, if movie good, people see.

But now there are 4 in 2019.

Frankly, adding Spider-Man screwed everything up.

    I don't think so.

    Captain Marvel
    Avengers Infinity War 2
    Inhumans

    What's the fourth movie?

I hope the unannounced movie is Ironman 4: Civil War II, because this story shouldn't be limited to being just a Steve Rodgers movie, when Stark has just as big a stake in it.

    No problem.

I've always figured they'd add a movie to the 2019 slate. They did add a movie, but to the 2018 schedule.

    So now we have:

    2016
    Captain America - Civil War
    Doctor Strange

    2017
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2
    Spider-Man
    Thor Ragnarok

    2018
    Black Panther
    Avengers Infinity War 1
    Ant-Man & The Wasp

    2019
    Captain Marvel
    Avengers Infinity War 2
    Inhumans

    2020
    3 mystery movies

I really doubt that. A hypothetical Iron Man 4 would be in 2020, a full four years after Civil War. Do you think they're going to magically extend that storyline four years past the debut movie just so we can see Stark's side of the story?

    Yay for Wasp!

Boo for Captain Marvel. I know it's not a big delay, and this does give them a little more time that I hope they use well.

I wouldnt say screwed up these movies are so far off. All they can worry about is the scheduling.

Thats cool. Three movies a year isn't a bad thing really. It's inevitable too.

Maybe a Dr. Strange Sequel for 2020?

They've never said anything to indicate there were issues with the script. The script has to come before the casting because they need to know who the movie version of the character really is before they can cast her. Script is still a work in progress.

This is the second time this movie has been pushed back for a "known" entity. Spider-Man, now an Ant-Man sequel. They know this project is a bit of a risk for them, and I think it does send a message about their commitment/faith in this project that they'd keep slotting other things ahead of it.

And in regards to all comments about "better to delay it so it isn't rushed" - I don't think that's really applicable here. It was never slotted so early that it would be a rush job. They didn't say, "We don't think this can be ready by 11/18, let's find something else." I think this is definitely more a case of, "Ant-Man was successful and we want to capitalize on the ASAP and not wait until Phase 4... so something will have to give."
