    Space Above and Beyond
probably a predecessor of modern Battlestar Galactica
Really like the cast of Space

At the tailend of the X-Files was a show set during the 50s involving government agents vs. (Roswell) aliens. Does anyone know the name by any chance?

For a similar vibe, check out the 2008 show New Amsterdam (not to be confused with the newer show called New Amsterdam!). Also cancelled too soon!

The show I remember was set in the 50s. Maybe 40s. It might involve X-Files creators. It had a government agent tracking down small, parasitic aliens. Area 51/Roswell was part of the plot and the production value seemed pretty high. It should have aired between 1997 and 2004

Edit: I stand corrected. It was Dark Skies indeed

as i recall , while the show was interesting ,it's extremely bleak . By the end of the season , the government secret organisation - majestic-12 had been infiltrated by the aliens ,the head killed and the wife/girlfriend of the male lead taken over by the parasitic alien , no allies, no help , nowhere to go and nowhere to run.

another alien invasion series - invasion - also only ran one season.

This is a long thread so I may have already posted this, but I really liked the 2013 version of The Tomorrow People with Robbie Amell, Luke Mitchell, and Peyton List.
