That's awesome!!!
I wonder if Baz will live through this : p
Great cover! Glad John will only be absent for a month. I notice Guy is no longer sporting a red power ring. Wonder if it's an error or if the cover just spoiled a future plot point...
I hope he survives, it would suck coming from a year of non-use just to die.
Hopefully just an error/artist liberty and not a spoiler. I don't see Xril Vrek on there either and she was kind of a main character in Lost Army.
Is Frog Lantern an existing GL? What's his name?
Oh god this is going to be amazing.
Favorites: Batman, Superman, All-New Wolverine, Deathstroke, Detective Comics, Green Lanterns, Doom Patrol
Yeah, the frog's been around. I don't know his name, though. I remember him hanging out with Bareer (sp), the Arkkis Chummuck stand-in, I think in that Green Lantern/Red Lanterns issue, or somewhere right around then.
EDIT:
Oh, he was also in "War of the Green Lanterns." He was a part of the team Salaak assembled to apprehend Hal Jordan near the beginning. So he pops up here and there.
EDIT #2:
The frog's name is Lok.

Yeah, Bunn said this was the plan all along, to continue in other minis. I guess it didn't pan out with him as the writer, but I doubt there's any foul play involved. The guy writes a metric ton of books and something has to give.
Edge of Oblivion? A combination of two Tom Cruise movies? Tom Cruise a member of the Green Lantern Corp. confirmed?
He had this book planned out for 12-14 issues when it first started. He was planning on being the main writer.
This smells like damage control and with him ultra busy someone else was bought in to finish.
Sooner or later DC will learn to stop playing with John Stewart. The fans supported the book (both runs) and do not need to be played with because John is not one of the favorites.
DC hasn't really done anything to John with these recent moves other than rename the books he stars in and put new creative teams on the titles. It's not like they've shipped him off to limbo or totally side lined him, or destroyed his character.
I'm a John Stewart fan, too, and yeah, DC has screwed him over at different times, but I don't want to come across like all we do is complain about stuff, especially when nothing bad has really happened to him.
You could try looking forward to the new series and not dwelling on perceived slights all the time.
