You might find it silly, but there's no evidence that Thor's getting over Jane so quickly was due to his mind being tampered with. Personally I just find it proves that Jane was never the love of Thor's life.



That list of writers is of the ones who forgot about Jane and Sif being merged and just left Jane in limbo for over five years. It wasn't an issue of them changing the status quo, it was them just forgetting a sub-plot existed.



The reason Sif gets mad at the Lorelei and Loki setup even though she and Thor were broken up is because Loki says he would abandon Midgard for Lorelei while disguised as Thor and that was a major factor in Sif and Thor's breakup. It'd be like if you broke up with your SO because they didn't want to get married, only to find out they got engaged to somebody else a week later.
