I've recently read Iceman #3. I didn't care for it very much.

I'm glad that the fact that Bobby and Angelica used to date wasn't brought up. They barely lasted as a couple, if I remember the story correctly. And we have already seen plenty of reaction from Bobby's other girlfriends in regards to Bobby coming out as gay. I don't see the point in repeating that story again.

It was kind of sad and funny at the same time to see Firestar dumped by Dirk via a text.

I'd love firestar to be in an X-Men team, but the writers show her no love.

Some people say it's because he powers look too much like phoenix, but they shouldn't. She shouldn't have firey looking powers. Her powers are plasma based. When she was in the new warriors Bagley didn't draw her powers like she was a human torch. Unfortunately all the artists after him did.

I can't remember what series it was, age of apocalypse or exiles, but in one issue she had a second mutation and was able to transform her body into microwaves.

IIRC, when she was first introduced in comics her powers were based on microwaves. There was another Marvel character named Sunturion (an Iron Man foe) whose powers were also based on microwaves. It would be pretty cool if her powers worked similar to his, including teleportation, the ability to convert external matter into energy to replenish or heal herself, etc.
