Firestar was/is insanely powerful and took apart the X-men when she battled them for the first time. If I remember correctly, did she pick up Colossus and throw him into a mountain (or am I imagining this??).
I wish she would get used again by the X-men. She's just sitting in limbo doing nothing. So much power, experience and history just wasted.
And happy birthday Fabian!
Wouldn't it be great if he wrote another New Warriors series. I loved the way they started off as amateurs learning about their powers and turned into fully fledge "avengers" in their own right.
Maybe he can come back and finally finish developing Speedball and Rage's powers!
John Romita Sr. designed Firestar (here called Heatwave) for the 80s cartoon. http://goodcomics.comicbookresources...gned-costumes/

I definitely want to see Firestar and Iceman become really close in the comics.

Loved Joe Bennett's Firestar. Wish for him to be the artist of a Firestar limited series. http://www.examiner.com/article/excl...st-joe-bennett
The White Queen convinced Angelica her powers could hurt Sam, which makes her run off.
Emma set the fire to the barn and stopped the horse's heart, but made it look like it was Angelica that caused it all.
This was to ensure Angelica was completely dependent on Emma....so cruel.
The Firestar 4 issue mini-series was such a great story and introduction to Angelica.

New Warriors #10 sees the White Queen having the Hellions fight the New Warriors
to reclaim Firestar.
Like Angelica was ever going to let that happen.

Makes me wish for a NEW WARRIORS UNTOLD TALES series which fills in the gaps of what happened in-between the 75 issues of the original series drawn by Mark Bagley.
I know that the fight with Juggernaut depicted in The Mighty Thor # 411 & 412 took place in-between issues #1 & 2 of the original New Warriors series.
In the New Warriors Firestar gets her 1st real love...Justice.
I really liked the two of them together back then.
