    10. Golden Age Captain America Vol. 2 (#13-24)

Each year, I will keep voting for the Daredevil run by Denny O’Neill, Klaus Janson, David Mazzucchelli & Others and just maybe one day it will make it.

    1. Ultimate Spider-man v2
    2. ASM by Michelinie & Bagley (~350-388)
    3. ASM by Slott (start. w/Big Time) v1
    4. Spectacular Spider-man by DeMatteis
    5. Punisher Max v1 (Ennis)
    6. ASM v4
    7. New Avengers v2
    8. Runaways by BKV (v1 & 2)
    9. UXM v4
    10. ASM by JMS v1

9 of mine made the list, but i figured they would. Surprised to see BND make ir over Slott's Big Time. Since Marvel has ohc'd everything of his since SSM, they might as well give us the first part as well.

Of the total list here's what I would buy:

    Definite:
House of M (I have none of the ohcs so it makes sense)
    AMS Brand New Day
    Silver Surfer by Englehart
    Shadowland
    AMS by Michelinie
Moon Knight by Moench (I just have a few TPBs so nice upgrade)
    Infinity War
    USM 2
    AMS 4
    X-Men gap
    UXM 4

    Maybe:
    Punisher by Rucka
    Black Panther by Priest
    Avengers by Hickman 2
    Spectacular SM by DeMatteis
    Punisher MAX

Pretty sure most people wouldn't waste a vote on this now. A deluxe OHC WILL happen, 99.999% guaranteed. Marvel is about to start releasing six double issue director's cut issues with extra's, etc. Once that's finished the OHC will come.

Alright, since I double posted, I might as well look the list over.

#40 West Coast Avengers. Never picked up the first three volume. I"ll probably wait and see if these get Epiced or put in Ultimate Collections. No.

#39 Amazing Spider-Man by JMS. Just bought the Ultimate Collections, and I'm not a big enough Spidey fan to double dip. No.

#38 (TIE) Avengers by Hickman Volume 2. I'm picking up Volume 1, i'll get volume 2. Yes.

#38 (TIE) Wolverine by Larry Hama (#31-57). I'll just wait for this whole era to be Epiced. No.

#37 X-Factor (1986) by Peter David. This would make an incredibly awkward Omni. I'd still gte it on release day. Yes.

#36 Generation X. This was somewhere on my list. Definitely yes.

#35 Micronauts Vol 1. Absolutely no interest in this. Definite no.

#34 Alpha Flight Vol 2. Again, absolutely no interest in this. Still haven't even picked up volume one, which has Byrne going for it. Definite no.

#33 (TIE) Wolverine by Jason Aaron Vol 2. Never got Volume 1, and I've never been a fan of Aaron's X-Men. No.

#33 (TIE) Iron Man by Micheline Vol 2. Always wanted to read this, though I want to get a copy of volume one first. Eventual yes.

#32 Silver Surfer by Steve Englehart. Always wanted to read more Surfer. Yes.

#31 (TIE) Shadowland Complete. I like the idea of a continuous DD collection, but I remember really disliking this on Marvel Unlimited. Probably not.

#31 (TIE) X-Factor (1986). Krisis has fully convinced me that this material should be collected alongside Uncanny. And this volume would seriously double dip with the X-Men event Omnis I already have. Definite no.

#30 She Hulk by Dan Slott. Never been very interested in She-Hulk. No.

#29 Spectacular Spider-Man by Dematteis. Always liked DeMatteis, and I've heard great things about this run. Yes.

#28 Wolverine Vol 2 (11-30, extras). Never got Volume 1, and I'd rather just get this in Epic format. No.

#27 Namor by Byrne. Never cared about Namor. No.

#26 Ghost Rider- Blaze (1970s). This was my number 10, I think. Always wanted to read more Rider, and I want this in color. Definite Yes.

And thank you TheManInBlack from avoiding a triple post from me.

#25 X-Men Legacy by Carey Vol 1. Haven't read this, but I did read the later Rogue stories from this run, and I really enjoyed them. Yes.

#24 Amazing Spider-Man by Micheline and Bagley. Not sure what this would contain. I'm sure our wonderful human dictionary Krisis will provide a look through. Maybe.

#23 Incredible Hulk (Silver Age) Volume 2. I have pretty much no interest in this material. No.

#22 She Hulk by Byrne. Never been a She-Hulk fan. No.

#21 Moon Knight by Moench. A month ago, I would have been all in on this, but I just received a free copy of the second Moon Knight Epic, so I'll just focus in that line. Still glad its so high on the list. No.

#20 Dr. Strange Silver Age Volume 2. I picked up Volume 1, though I haven't read it yet. Definitely interested n going further into the series. Yes.

#19 Avengers by Roger Stern Volume 1. I loved Under Siege, so I'd definitely pick this up. Definite yes.

#18 Infinity War. Haven't read Infinity Gauntlet yet, and I wouldn't blind buy this. Probably a no.

#17 New Warriors Volume 2. I'm interested in the material, but I don't have Volume 1 yet. Maybe.

#16 Rom Volume 1. One of my votes. I know Marvel probably never make this, but I can dream. Definite yes.

#15 X-Factor (2006) by David Volume 1. No way this happens, but I absolutely love this material. Definite yes.

#14 Miracleman. Never read this, but you can't go wrong with Moore, Gaiman, and Morrison. Yes.

#13 Ultimate Spider-Man Volume 2. I never picked up volume 1, so no.

#12 Daredevil by Nocenti. I've heard very mixed things about this. Probably no to a blind buy.

#11 Thunderbolts. I would love an omnibus for this, but I've ended up being gifted a pretty big chuck of this series, so I probably wouldn't double dip. Probably not.

So, here was my list I voted on.

#10 - Invincible Iron Man vol.3 (Silver Age) ; Dropped off the Ballot
    #9 - Captain America vol.3 (Silver Age) ; Listed at #49
    #8 - New Avengers vol. 2 (Bendis) ; Listed at #9
    #7 - Avengers vol. 3 (Silver Age) ; Listed at #8
    #6 - New Warriors vol. 2 ; Listed at #17
#5 - Daredevil by Bendis vol. 1 (reprint)
#4 - Death of Captain America by Brubaker (reprint)
#3 - Moon Knight vol.1 (Bronze Age) origin and early stories&series ; Listed at #21
#2 - Black Panther vol.1 origin by Lee/Kirby and early appearances thru Jungle Adventure
    #1 - Incredible Hulk vol. 2 (Silver Age) ; Listed at #23

Overall I feel pretty good about my votes. Six of my ten ranked in the top #50 with two in the top 10.
We all had to gauge the "sure fires" vs the "wants" cause 10 votes is all you get. I perhaps should've left Black Panther vol.1 off as it's likely a "sure thing" next year. Not surprised my reprint wishes didn't rank but the DD by Bendis vol.1 is also a likely "sure thing" with DD season 3 on Netflix next year.
With no titular solo led film it's easy to see why many let Iron Man vol.3 drop off their lists but I still want it.

What do we figure the total number of Omni offerings will be for next year? About 25-30 again for 2018, I think unless I miscounted 2017 has 27 Omnibus offerings, or just over 2 per month.

You do realise you lost 2 votes as the Secret Ballot did not take into consideration reprints? This was all about new Omnibuses.

In the name of procrastinating finals: My opinion on the top 10!

10 Punisher Max by Garth Ennis, Vol. 1. Never been a big Punisher fan, and I'm kind of indifferent on gore as a positive story trait. Probably a no.

9 New Avengers by Bendis, Vol. 2. I do like some of Bendis' Avengers, but as a whole his work leaves me cold. I doubt I would enjoy even half of this content. No.

8 Avengers, Vol. 3. Don't really care enough about this content to buy in in OHC. I'd rather just get it as a couple of epics. No.

7 Fantastic Four, Vol. 4. I still have to get the first three volumes, but I do want this whole run. Yes.

6 Excalibur, Vol. 1. This was on my list. Definite buy.

5 Amazing Spider-Man, Vol. 4. I really haven't liked what I've read of Conway's original run. This is where I tap out of the line. No.

4 Incredible Hulk by Peter David, Vol. 1 This was either my number three or four (with Black Panther). Definite buy.

3 X-Men: Post-Massacre / Pre-Fall. YES! Other people voted for this. It was my number 2. Definite buy.

2 New Mutants, Volume 1. This was not on my list, since I plan on just using the epic collections and classic trades to fill in the gaps in the X-Men Event Omnis. If it does get announced, I probably would just pick it up. Yes.

1 Uncanny X-Men Vol. 4 AKA by Claremont/JRJR. This was my number one. A bit obvious, but there's good reason for that. Definite yes.

Kind of a weak Top 10 for me, but you can never go wrong with more X-Men. Unless its Austen. (Sorry one guy who liked that run.)

I don't really know if I even care for the material in Dazzler but it's tangentially related to the X-Men and it could be collected in its entirety in one volume so I would definitely pick it up. It would be so satisfying. Fantastic Four by Claremont is another one and done volume and it seems like it would sell pretty well just on Claremonts name alone.

So my points of interest on the list are as follows:

    1 Uncanny X-Men Vol. 4 AKA by Claremont/JRJR (was 1)
    2 New Mutants, Volume 1 (was 2)
    3 X-Men: Post-Massacre / Pre-Fall (was 16)
    6 Excalibur, Vol. 1 by Claremont/Davis (was 7) - had my vote
10 Punisher Max by Garth Ennis, Vol. 1 (was 15)
    15 X-Factor (2006) by Peter David, Vol. 1 (was 30)
25 X-Men Legacy by Mike Carey, Vol. 1 (was 51-56)
    28 Wolverine (1988), Vol. 2 (was 27) - had my vote
31 X-Factor (1986), Vol. 1 (was 13) - This seems like such a waste, please just collect as Crossroads Omnibus and Before the Fall Omnibus
    31 Shadowland (NEW)
33 Wolverine by Aaron, Vol. 2 (NEW) - My number 1 vote
34 Alpha Flight, Vol. 2 (NEW) - Had my vote

    36 Generation X, Vol. 1 (was 26)
37 X-Factor (1986) by Peter David (was 38) - as long as it's (by Peter David, J. M. DeMatteis and Todd DeZago)!!!
    38 Wolverine (1988), Vol. 3 (was 47)
38 Avengers by Hickman, Vol. 2 (NEW) - I hope they include Avengers World material
    44 Runaways by BKV (NEW)
    52 Incredible Hercules (NEW)
53 Thor: God of Thunder by Aaron & Ribic (NEW) - I would get this after reading Krisis' recommendation! (plus, I tend to like Aaron's writing in general)
    55 X-Force Vol. 3 AKA Cable & X-Force, Vol. 1 (NEW) - had my vote
57 X-Force by Kyle & Yost (NEW) - prefer OHCs, with a Cable: Hope Omnibus (including Messiah War) sat between them
59 House of M (NEW) - How would people want this collected? There's too much for 1 omnibus and doesn't feel like there's a logical split into 2 volumes
60 What If? (1977), Vol. 1 (NEW) - Only interested if Character / Team focused content

    #61-74:
67.5 Academy X/New Mutants by Defillipis and Weir (NEW) - had my vote
67.5 Dazzler: The Omnibus (NEW) - had my vote

67.5 Uncanny X-Men by Kieron Gillen (NEW)

So 7/10 of my votes were mentioned in the full list, although 2 were out of the Top 60. Little bit of strategic voting given the Top 3 are all certain wants for me, but it was a given they'd rank high without my vote - apologies.

    My remaining votes were:
    - Ultimate Spider-Man: Miles Morales Omnibus
    (material from Ultimate Fallout #4, Ult.Comics: Spider-Man #1-28+16.1+200, Spider-Men #1-5, Cataclysm: Spider-Man #1-3, Miles Morales: Ultimate Spider-Man #1-12, Ultimate End #1-5)
    - X-Men Omnibus vol.3 (covers of UXM #67-93, Amazing Adventures #11-17, Incredible Hulk #150, 161, 172, & 180-181, Amazing Spider-Man #92, Marvel Team-Up #4, 23, & 38, Avengers #110-111, Captain America #172-175, Defenders #15-16, Giant-Size Fantastic Four #4, Fantastic Four (1961) #102-104, Amazing Adventures Vol. 2 (1970) #9-10 and X-Men: The Hidden Years #1-22)
    - Black Panther & Storm Omnibus (Black Panther vol. 4 #1-34, X-Men #175-176, Storm #1-6, Fantastic Four #543-550)
.....eventually leading to a Black Panthers Omnibus (Black Panther vol.4 #35-41 & Annual #1, X-Men: Worlds Apart #1-4, vol.5 #1-12, Doomwar #1-6, Klaws of the Panther #1-4, material from Age of Heroes #4)

I'm sure that last one was just me voting for it, but I really enjoyed the Black Panther & Storm stuff - might broaden the appeal too to aim a little more towards X-Fans?
