Yes, it is the glue for the binding. My wife use to work with a journal publisher and when I showed her a book with this (it was an Avengers OHC if I recall), she said it was glue. Not sure why it happens (maybe bad QC/construction?), but shouldn't affect anything other than aethestics I think.

When do their rights expire? I though they just acquired them.
Also, does that mean that Dark Horse can’t publish any reprints of their colossal collections? And can Marvel now reprint the Dark Horse material?

    So many questions!

Like I said a few posts above, you shouldn't worry about that. Just for the classic Marvel 'Conan the Barbarian' title, about a dozen Omnis will be needed, so definitely not a short publishing window like in the Shang Chi case. At all. AND they're now publishing their own new stuff, so Conan is not going anywhere anytime soon.

That's right. That's why all three are so sought-after, especially the first one, published many years ago.

They're actually doing it now: Conan Chronicles Epic Collection.

What's up with Silver Surfer Black? It looks like a normal tpb, so what's up with this "Black Treasurey Edition"? Also, what is up with the art? Everything looks funky...
