After "WandaVision" made it sell out everywhere, a "House of M" omni seems inevitable.

Fans are writing blog posts wishing Marvel would finally do Amazing Spider-Man Epic Collection Vol 16.
Amazing Spider-Man, Vol. 16. A few years ago, the Epic Collection line seemed like such a patchwork of random volumes. But now we’ve gotten to the point where so many have been released that we are starting to see some long, unbroken runs. Currently we have Amazing Spider-Man 15 and 17-22. If we can just get Volume 16, we’d have an 8-edition run of a hundred issues (#259-360)! Plus, this would finish up collecting the DeFalco/Frenz run and Jim Owsley’s infamous Gang Land story.

Things I love: Batman, Superman, AEW, old films, Lovecraft

Grant Morrison: “Adults...struggle desperately with fiction, demanding constantly that it conform to the rules of everyday life. Adults foolishly demand to know how Superman can possibly fly, or how Batman can possibly run a multibillion-dollar business empire during the day and fight crime at night, when the answer is obvious even to the smallest child: because it's not real.”

It's entirely infuriating that Marvel hasn't released that one yet. I'm hoping that the recent Ned Leeds resurrection is some kind of spur for it, because it really bums me out to be missing that volume

Is there any material in there that might be preventing them from reprinting it? Copyright/trademark issues? A creator involved they just don't like or wanna pay royalties to...?

Shouldn't be? It should just be ASM 273-288 + Spider-man: Hooky (Graphic Novel) - no annuals, no other obvious crossovers or specials. SSM 130 (Hobgoblin) might be added, who knows. I don't have an exhaustive recollection of problematic former Marvel employees, but I don't see anyone obvious in the creators list.

Is this x-men by Hickman omnibus that is coming out a good stand alone read or is it bogged down with crossovers and events? I don’t read much x-stuff but I like to dip my toe now and again

You need to have read House of X/Powers of X beforehand (available as OHC and tpb). There were a couple crossovers during the actual series (X of Swords, Hellfire Gala) and they're frankly skippable. They're available in separate OHCs, so in the actual Hickman omni those tie-in issues aren't there (even ones written by him). Afterwards you'll have to buy the Inferno OHC (out next year). And even then his story won't really have concluded because Hickman left, so the Krakoa era will continue via other writers.

Overall, I'd buy the above Hickman material (HoX/PoX, omni, Inferno) for some awesome issues but it is not a story with a conclusion. Kinda like you can watch Winter Soldier as its own movie but the thread of Bucky clearly continues in other movies and is not concluded in WS.

Clearly several of these dates have shifted though. Are you able to provide an updated list perhaps?

Amazon now has the HiX-men omni for March. I think I missed that pushback announcement. Was supposed to be December.

Yes House of M would be a good Omni although hated, good for the collection.
Same with Civil War, would be massive with the tie ins, always wanted that slip case!

Apologies if it’s been mentioned already, but the solicitation for the upcoming Young Avengers omni has been updated. It no longer collects just the Heinberg/Cheung material; now it also includes the various minis and one-shots that Marvel used to keep the team in the public eye while waiting for Heinberg to come back. (Mostly crossovers with the Runaways tying in with the crossover du jour… Civil War, Secret Invasion, Dark Reign, etc., along with “Young Avengers Presents.”)

Hey dumb question for you smart people. Does anyone know why Tomb of Dracula and Werewolf by night are complete collections and not Epic collections?

That's actually an excellent question; the answer to which I will defer to someone smarter than me.

There has to be a reason. I mean they are basically epic collections but are labeled complete collections. Someone must know!

The fact that we have so many damn Star Wars and Conan Epics blows my first theory outta the water, so maybe it's about quantity of content? There's only like 4 or 5 books to complete each series, not 10+ like nearly every other series with an Epic line...?
