Default Should Marvel do a "classic Comic Covers" trade or Omni? Maybe fan vote?

DC has some hardcovers of classic comic covers but they are not the best with some pages having a bunch of small cover photos.

But marvel has tons of great covers and how about a omni or trade in comic format of just the covers in high scan? Could be "classics only" pre 90s or pre 2000s or all eras including today.

Each cover gets a full page. Maybe even lets fans vote for some of the covers online?

What do you guys think of this?

I think they could do an entire series, but I guess it would depend on customer response. I love covers from the 70s -- especially Gil Kane's work. Just a volume of his covers would be great. Some of my other favorite cover artists of that era are Dave Cockrum, John Romita, Sr., Jim Starlin George Perez. I think Brunner only ever worked on Dr. Strange, but his covers were great as well.

I'd definitely segregate by era, but others may disagree.

Oh, and they have to be at least full size. Why reprint covers if they are going to be at thumbnail size?

This would be a pass for me. I like the stories and art together.

By eras could be good. I would kind of love an 60s to late 80s one myself.

And looks like three or four covers a page. We need one cover per page.

It might make sense to do it as a Treasury Format thing, just to get the biggest possible version of it.

A minor question is whether it makes sense to do one as a Marvel project, or to have separate ones for Spider-Man, the X-Men and maybe the Avengers.
    Sincerely,
