Is this a followup to the X-Men: Legacy (Legion) Omni from last year?
Better question, does anyone have an opinion if it's contents are good?

No. It's a collection of the pre Age of Apocalypse issues from the X-Men titles. Basically it puts the uncollected issues between Phalanx Covenant and Age of Apocalypse collections. But there is overlap since half of the issues are in the AoA omnibus.

I think I'll wait for the eventual $39.99 trade.

At least I can get my double dip for $20 instead of $37.50...

Is that the actual cover? Amazon is showing a different one https://www.amazon.com/Vision-Direct...+directors+cut

Are we expecting any more Omni titles to be announced for April?
I can't believe Marvel can miss the New Mutants movie release for a much desired Omni release (I am ignoring my Logan disappointment from earlier this year). A NM vol.1 would cover Legion's story too, better than this double dip nonsense!

The Marvel solicitations usually carry the final covers whereas Amazon at times have "filler-ins". Don't quote me, but I suspect this will be the actual cover.

How much of an overlap is it? I have both the AoA omnis but also want that full run from the Claremont / Lee omnis...

UXM 320/1, Xmen 40/1, and Cable 20 are in AoA omnibus. So 5 of the 17 issues here are double dip.

As an aside, that trade would be a de facto Epic Collection, similar to the Road to Onslaught books. At 592 pages, and assuming they didn't drop some of the content, would it become Marvel's biggest paperback?

I dig the look of the cover but what on earth is wrong with his feet?
