The 1st Epic Collections for Iron Man and X-Men are going for very high prices on eBay. Do you think they'll be reprinted? Have other Epic Collections been reprinted?

They have went back to print for Iron Fist, and I think maybe they've done second printings on another one or two? So it's not unprecedented to reprint these, but it all depends what they (Marvel) want to do.

I think FF v1 and maybe some of the Spidey volumes are OOP now, too, and going for higher prices. I realize marvel can't keep EVERYTHING in print, but especially these original Silver Age volumes, while they've been put out in numerous formats over the years (omnibuses, MMWs HC and trades, etc...) - these are volumes that everyone seems to want in their collections. Hopefully they can go back to print on some of these. For later volumes, like Spidey Cosmic and such, I'm not so sure those will be headed back to print anytime soon. But this is just a guess on my part.

Was Deadpool Classic omnibus reprinted at some point? I find it hard to believe it's still in the readily available category.

Has anybody read any of the original Marvel Roy Thomas Conan? Is there a lot of corny and dated silver/bronze age dialogue? Dialogue like this doesn't bother me in super hero comics, but I don't think I'd like it in a Conan book. Any opinions appreciated. I'm really on the fence with this one and just realized it releases this week.

From what I remember, absolutely. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Recognizing that it’s all relative, I would disagree. The writing in the Roy Thomas Conan from the 70s I think is less corny and holds up much better than most other Bronze Age titles. I think the reason for this is that Roy was trying to duplicate the feel of the REH stories.

The Barry Windsor Smith art is reason enough for getting Conan Omnibus
I will be submitting my order as soon as IST has it up
so I can get a classic cover dust jacket

Yeah, this is why I'm leaning more to the buy it side of the fence.

I like the tone of Roy Thomas' Conan. I would call it "pulpy", not "corny."

From Conan #1, as Conan kills his first man in battle, "Yet, perhaps men SHALL sing one last song of Boastful Gondur. If so, they'll say he was the FIRST man to fall before the slicing sword of--CONAN THE CIMMERIAN!"

Quote from Conan as he slays Gondur.

Over the top. Yes. Just like Conan.

It's not a coincidence that the Colossal Conan collections sold out so quickly. Sadly, I missed them when first released.

Thinking about an Infinity collection, what would you guys go for? What page would that tall be? There seems to be so many different omni’s collecting them in different ways, or even that full Premiere slipcase, but that’s a smaller format isn’t it?

    I feel your pain.
Has it been that this is one of those series that adheres to the MMW schedule?
Not that this "theory" should've stopped them from doing a SA TIH vol.2(yeah I know sales vs overprinted hypothesis on that book also).
