Even if Amazon gets the books they will be deemed "non-essential" and your delivery will be pushed back weeks if not months anyway.

Indeed. I had pre-ordered the new Wolverine Epic Collection months ago, which has been in stock for some days now - yet it's so far estimated to arrive in the middle of April.

It's somewhat annoying, but I have a large backlog of unread comics to keep me entertained while I wait.

Anybody have a clue how stock gets allocated to places like CGN and instocktrades? IST says they should have new stock of a book I want in early April, but CGN says they can't order more stock because it's out of print. I'm just kinda confused.

Just thought I would share this -stark- example of the declining quality of Marvel omnibus... isn’t this dude supposed to have a head?

    UXF omnibus...

First pic is of the book laying “flat” second pic is my fingers spreading the image as much as possible to see a little sliver that might be this dudes head but it isn’t even really happening.

Definitely going to sell this on eBay after I read it. Keep thinking about Gem Mints cursory overview where he says there is no gutter loss. Pretty sorry book expert right there if that is his honest opinion... or maybe dude needs glasses.

So far the book is a real chore to read but only because it is SO POORLY MADE it is unreal.

If it is any consolation first print is only marginally better. 96AB39CF-6E43-40E5-A504-9A96C2C7186C.jpg F50D7678-ACB6-4024-A72B-AE10CD7C2121.jpgF50D7678-ACB6-4024-A72B-AE10CD7C2121.jpg

I wrote about it several pages earlier, of course the books printed in Leo Paper Group are worst quality than R.R Donnelley, and if you think the youtuber say something bad about a book that he got for free - good luck with that.

For example in this book :

he see there is a gutter loose

Gem Mint is obviously a shill. He comes across like someone who just jumped into the youtube scene to make a quick buck. Gem Mint's UXF and Wolverine omnibus videos have proven that by now. He rarely knows what hes talking about. In contrast Omar from nearmint - you could tell the dude has a passion for comics and a history growing up with the books. Omar has even been mentioning which company prints the books in the overviews now.

Yes, and I was relieved that Omar seemed confident that the Wolverine reprint has a solid binding.

Gem is alright he seems like a pretty straight up guy most of the time. I just wish he was more critical about the build of the books themselves... it seems to me like he is more of a collector than a reader when it comes to Omnibus. I would be surprised if he has actually read even 25% of the books he has on his shelves.

I like both of them, but when it comes to knowledge about the comics and their history there's no comparison. Near Mint Condition's Omar is the reference, GemMint is more of a collector fan in my opinion, and that's fine too, he has a heavy following it seems.

They are both shills for Big Comica.

They are guilty, and their collections should be confiscated. Otherwise, their behavior could incite other comic fans leading to anarchy of biblical proportions.

Sorry for the double post, but one thing I wanted to mention about X-Force. With the current Cable & X-Force collections (v1, Onslaught Rising, Onslaught), there's just a gap of Cable 40-44,-1, X-Force 62-66, and Cable/X-Force Ann '97 then X-Force 85-100, X-Force/Champions 1998 and X-Force 1999 annuals away from having both titles collected in their entireties. So here's hoping for one more Cable & X-Force collection and X-Force Epic v8 in the near future.

Definitely in for the Avengers and Hulk Epic. Might pass on UXM v4 Omni, but will probably cave once it’s actually released and buy it.
