Apparently Marvel figured I hadn’t been giving them enough money lately, cause there’s been a flurry of recent announcements for books I need. The back half of 2023 is going to be expensive.

In for the first one. My BIL wrote and penciled one of the stories on this one.

Surprised we have 3 New Warrior Omnis before a single volume in the epic format.

One last New Mutants Omni after this, I guess. I imagine they'll cover everything through X-Tinction Agenda, but it'll be curious to see how much they double dip on the first X-Force Omnibus

New Warriors volume 3 with the DM Scarlet Spider cover will be a day of release buy.
Excalibur vol.3 and New Mutants vol.3 will be holds. I eventually got NM vol.2 for $40 with the cover no one wanted. Paid slightly more for Excalibur vol.3 but not by much.
With New Warriors done I need the Collections Dept to finish the 90s run of Guardians of the Galaxy. That initial Valentino run needs a follow-up!! Surely one more volume, even with a few tie-ins, would complete that series easily enough.

You know what? I'm into this. I remember reading some of these issues back in the day and really liking Walker's art and what was being done with the assembled personalities. Ellis' run is still my favorite interpretation, though.
Not into the other 3 omnis mentioned in the previous video. I do have New Warriors vol 1 but haven't read it yet, and I've never been into Excalibur as a concept.

I will say that although I would give my kingdom for a modern X-men omni (Brubaker's UXM onwards) or a Fraction Iron Man, Marvel fans are dining extremely well this year, paper/binding quality notwithstanding. I'm most likely buying 20% of the ones announced for 2023. My unread backlog groweth!

THUNDERBOLTS: UNCAGED OMNIBUS collecting Thunderbolts (2006) 144-174, 163.1; Enter the Heroic Age (2010) 1 (E story); Dark Avengers (2012) 175-190
This is effectively Volume 5 for Thunderbolts, skipping over Volume 4 for the series (the Osborn years). This volume collects to the end of the 2006 Thunderbolts relaunch.
Looking foward to this. Coincidently enough, I finished reading Vol. 02 just yesterday. I know Justice's New Warriors were heavily involved in the clone saga, but why so many Venom issues? Personally, I'd rather they'd include the Faeber New Warriors Vol. 02, since it's only 10 issues, and it's pretty hard to imagine them collecting it elsewhere.
Peace
I would have preferred that the Night Thrasher and Nova series were collected as a whole in Volume 2 and 3 and left out the Venom/Spider-Man issues.
I could see a volume 4 that collects the Faeber series, Zeb Wells mini series, post Civil War series, and the Yost series from 2014.
