Even though it's kinda short on actual X-Men issues
Subsequent issues are collected in the Mutant Massacre omnibus so it wouldn’t make sense to include them here.

I’m so excited I’ll be able to own Longshot in omnibus format. I absolutely love Ann Nocenti’s writing.

It's very interesting to me that they simply skipped Marvel Masterworks Ant-Man/Giant-Man volume 2 as an Epic collection. It collects Tales to Astonish 53-69 and is going for >$100 on Amazon(and is the only MMW Ant-Man I'm missing).

What they are calling Epic volume 2 is MMW volume 3(with the same contents).

They contain the same issues. The Epics are larger than the MMW so they only needed two volumes instead of 3.

Yay, another slott filled in my collection. Really, if the fill in the breachs from the end of the Korvac saga to the begining of the Fall of Hank Pym (around #211), I'll have ALL the first vol of Avengers collected in one way or another.

I have this MM in digital format, so I guess I'll skip this Essential Collection.

    Peace

May I please ask: With Epic Ant-Man 1 and 2, does this cover all of the issues when Janet becomes the Wasp and then partner to Ant-Man? Or are they additional issues or not covered here? Thanks.

Janet does all that in the Tales to Astonish issues collected in the Epic books.

Oh, great! Thank you so much! I need to pick those up. I want to read early Wasp stories.

Thanks. Yeah I saw that, but I'm saving Amazon as a last resort. I already ordered the book from another store but their stock ran out, so I guess I'm gonna sit tight for a bit and hope they get more copies soon.

Do new Epic Collections have thin see-through paper like the new Omnibus?

For a minute they really tried to go cheap on the Epic paper; curling covers and everything. It was bad. But they've since corrected that and the last several I've bought are of much better quality (although still a kick in the wallet at $45 a pop).

Passing on both of those. From the former, I have too much of that stuff in other collections; not interested in the latter. Happy for those that are into it though.
