Not sure I will be keeping this one.
I must be weird. I really enjoyed that omnibus. Both sides of it. I realize I'm in the minority though.

I used to collect toys all the time, and I heard the same complaints from the toy collecting community. The box has a dent, the figure has two left arms, etc. Again, only way to guarantee perfection is to go to a store and buy it. But the problem is, you normally don't get the big discounts that you would from an online store. So we all have to play the wishing game and hopefully a book arrives in good condition without factory defects, which is what the issues with this omnibus seems to be. When there's a book that I want and I need it to be mint, I got to my LCS and pay the extra price to make sure I handpick it. Only way to guarantee. And even then, after unwrapping the package, I still get surprises sometimes.
yes, this is true, my only problem is that these are supposed to be premium products and we are paying the premium prices for it. Same with toys, if it's a more mass produced product that you can pick up in TRU for 10 bucks then fine but if something is labelled as a collectable or priced in that category and not as a disposable item then the manufacturer should make sure it leaves the factory without two left arms and a half disassembled binding.

Both books look good. Not many extras in either, I was surprised at how few were in the GotG omnibus but I figure it's pushing the page count already. One thing I don't like is they put all of the 1991 Annuals material in the very front of the book, so you don't get to the #1 issue from 1990 until like 100 pages in. I really wish Marvel would stick to release order on stuff like this.
I much prefer chronological as far as the story goes rather than release order. They screwed up the AoA omnibus with that. I felt the notion of wanting to read things "as they came out" to preserve some sort of confusing experience of a new universe frustrating. I'd rather read chronological in-universe.

I actually quite liked the AoA Omnibus "chronological" order. It read pretty well for me 😆

No, they got it right with the AoA omnibus by reprinting the story in a way that made sense (ie as originally intended), as opposed to the prior Complete Epic tpb's which shoved all of the prequel stuff to the beginning. It's like saying you should watch the SW prequel trilogy before the OT. No, just no...

Very low stock at Amazon US, so could be close to OOP status.

It might just be getting a reprint as there has recently been a reprint of the first volume of John's run.

Some of the guys over on the MMW MB found advance Marvel solicits for Oct/Nov.

There's a World War Hulk Omnibus, Hulk Epic v2, Thor (1999) Omnibus, Deadpool & X-Factor Omnibus (continuing on from X-Force Omnibus v1 but including Deadpool & Cable books), a Hulk v Thor TPB, Spidey Clone Saga Omnibus v2, and a reprint of the Simonson Thor Omni.

Already posted on the general omnibus & hardcover thread, but I figured posting in the marvel collection thread might be acceptable as well. My main question is: does anyone have any info on pictured hardback? As far as I know, this collection does not exist. I can't find out anything about it online, much less a picture of a Jim Lee Miracleman. I figure it's someone's personal collection & they had all their issues bound together, but did they actually commission Jim to do their cover or is this something Eclipse did back in the day? Having all of Miracleman collected in one volume is awesome enough, but if this is actually something that was published it would be cool to find out. Thanks in advance for any info & I'll update with new pics and any info I find out if this post receives any attention.
