I’m probably in the minority but I liked most of the Lee/Kirby Silver age stuff as well as the Bronze Age period with the likes of writers Gerry Conway and Roy Thomas and John Buscema as the main artist. I didn’t mind the Simonson run but I was never much of a fan of DeFalco and Jurgens work. JMS was good and early Aaron.

Just a heads up, per an e-mail I just received, new releases will not be going live today on IST due to weather conditions.

They anticipate new books going up Thursday 3PM EST.

So 2 more days for those looking for Uncanny X-Men Vol. 4!

I also got the e-mail from IST, yet they didn't mention anything about the order I placed ONE MONTH ago that hasn't shipped yet. And these were all Marvel books.

I have a feeling that there will be some shenanigans that books may become available sooner or later than Thursday and that will spur a gold rush

Of all the weeks for historic snowstorms to happen, it comes on the day of my precious UXM omni. Le sigh..

Think of it as part of Marvel's "X-tax".

Mine's preordered to ship with the Claremont/Lee vol. 2 next week, hopefully they get enough to fill everyone's order.

This is one of those series that is such a no-brainer. I highly doubt new readers want to dig up Lee/Ditko stuff (quality notwithstanding). Say what you will of Bendis, but USM is a freaking classic. It should've gotten the (continuous) omni treatment a long time ago. The series should be kept visible in evergreen collections.

Would've loved a reprint of Ultimate Death Of, but I guess I'll just have to wait until they release some sort of adaptation in a Disney/Sony movie for that to happen.
