Ah so this is how the Fraction Iron Man is getting collected? I'll have to think whether to get this or keep waiting for an omnibus.

Yeah, that was really a jerk move of Marvel's part. I'm in the same boat.

What were issues #210 #211 about? Were they fill-in issues? Won't the next Avengers Epic pick up with #210?

Yes, it probably will. However, almost all it's content has already been published in a large TPB called the Trail of Yellowjacket. It was the first stepping stone in the collection of the bulk of Roger Stern's run that continiued with Absolute Vision, Vols 1& 2, The Legacy of Thanos, The Once and Future Kang, etc... I, and probably many others, really don't want to spend so much, for double dipped content. The only Avengers Epic Collection that I skipped was the Operation Galactic Strom one, since I already had the two TPB's that collected the whole saga.
As for what were the issues, #210 was by Mantalo and Gene Colan, and pitched the Avengers against the Weatherman. And #211 was a reshuffle of the membership, instigated by Moondragon, that brought Hank Pym back into the fold, just in time to permenantly destroy the charachter, starting on the very next issue. If I'm not mistaken, it was by Shooter and Colan.

    Peace

Oh, I did not know about the other prior printings! Now I see what you both mean. Thank you for the info.

Oh, I just thought of something...was this the timeframe of when Moondragon went to that Ba-Bani planet and then mentally controlled all of the people?

#211 was shortly before the Ba-Bani story-line, which took place in #219 - 220, if I'm not mistaken. It was suspected that Moondragon interfered with the decision of many members to depart and to join, and even that her mental manipulations may have contributed with Hank's breakdown, though this was more or less discarded, later on.

    Peace

Ah, ok, I never heard that theory before, but that was what I had just thought of now, lol!

I like Heather, but i thought perhaps her powerful TP and the meddling inside Hank's mind might have caused his breakdown and also based on what I note below might have doubled-up his problems?

The other reason I tied that in was because when Ultron did a similar thing to Hank years earlier using his Encephalo Beam, it regressed Hank's memories back to his Ant-Man days, but with a more vicious attitude. Hank attacked all of the present Avengers, not realizing who they were. Then he stated that Janet had betrayed him and turned on him, but he never attempted to attack her or anything like that. (Jan had to use her Wasp Sting to knock him out and he was caught at Ant-Size by Wonder Man, who was surprised that Simon could move that fast, and with that accuracy of seeing so tiny a figure.)

Especially since they'd done so well in aligning the Captain America Epics with the original The Captain trade.

If they'd added those two issues I'd have an unbroken run up to 254 with the Trial and Absolute Vision trades
