Yeah, I find it to be incredibly boring and over-written. I think Robinson has some really strong/creative ideas & themes, but it completely failed for me in its execution. The pacing is off. The dialogue is off. I simply could not force myself to get through the chore of reading it any longer and gave up. Got through the first 2+ omnibuseses and haven't touched it since.

(I also don't understand the love for Opal City. Again, I sense the amount of effort Robinson is putting into establishing the City as its own character, as a city that could rival Gotham or Metropolis in its uniqueness, but I legit felt none of that. And found it annoying that he kept trying to hit me over the head with how "special" this inanimate city was.)

I also mostly have the ones I want as well, but if they reprinted Bendis DD v1, Bru DD v1, Death of Cap, Ennis Punisher, and Silver Surfer, I wouldn't complain.

The Silver Surfer Omnibus is Awesome and if you can find one at at a price that won't break the bank, I would say go for it...

"Save for it." -- I'm sorry. These are just books. Not everyone wants to pay $400+ on a volume of The X-Men cause they missed out. What do you suppose people getting into comics today do? Spend hundreds of dollars on exploring a title in physical format because of when they got into reading them? Let Marvel hike the price of these omnibus up to the price they resell for and lets see if your opinion changes. This was the corniest thing I've read in a while on here.

Not the same IMHO. John Buscema's art is pretty great, in particular, in oversized format and on quality paper. A true delight to hold in your hand and for your eyes to take in. One of my most cherished Omnis.

Yes, that is exactly what I do.

Spend hundreds of dollars (actually pounds £) on books that I like the look of but, at this rate, I am probably never going to read...

I am aware though that I have a serious problem.

I'd like to see Infinity Gauntlet reprinted and the Michelinie Iron-Man. I pretty much have all the other books I want.
