What do you guys think about Wolverine & the X-Men omnibus ? Should i buy for 80$ or wait for reprint ?
Do you read comics in TPBs, HCs, and omnibuses - or are just not sure where to start? Check out my definitive guides to DC (including Rebirth!), Valiant Comics, and Marvel - including every X-Men and Avengers team and each Marvel Event.
You'll find definitive reading guides including every issue of every major Marvel hero and team, like Black Panther, Captain America, Captain/Ms. Marvel, Daredevil, Deadpool, Spider-Man, & and more!
Lots of people didn't like the series, I really enjoyed it. Aaron is clearly a fan of Morrison's New X-men and the idea of a chaotic school with lots of weird students running around but he takes this to the next level and his ideas are often over the top silly which you may or may not will like.
As Krisis said a reprint is not very likely.
People hate it. I liked it but I like more things than people hate so my opinion won't matter. But I'm still waiting for Wolverine Vol 2 by Aaron and that ain't happening so W+Xmen most likely won't get a reprint. I've been trying to read silver age stuff like Spider-Man and Thor but man, I cannot read that stuff if my life depended on it. It is a slog to get through and the language is all weird to me and it makes me fall asleep (good for sleepless nights lol). Also I don't really care for the X-Men and I though W+X-men was better than anything that came after Brubaker.

Wolverine & the X-Men was very average in my opinion - Aaron's Wolverine solo work was WAAAAY better, so I am totally hoping for the eventual release of Wolverine vol.2 by Aaron too.
In terms of what came after Brubaker, I couldn't disagree more. Obviously, just my opinion, but the Brubaker-Fraction-Gillen era of Uncanny X-Men was absolute gold, especially coupled up with Mike Carey's X-Men/XM: Legacy run over the same period! Wolverine and the X-Men was a big step down from this stuff, which was a surprise for me, as Aaron's solo Wolvie material had been so dark & gritty, so I expected similar with WatXM.
I hope we get some other X-omni covering that era before any reprints!
WatXM was fine in places, but the Hellfire Bratz was an overplayed joke that should have ended the minute they mouthed off to Sabretooth and Mystique.
I will raise my throne above the Stars of God
I loved W&tXM!! In fact I bought the first 4 HC, but then Marvel dropped the series in favor of All-New X-Men, which meant a downgrade from HC to tpb's. When the Omni came out, I didn't buy it and now I regret it, so if anyone has a chance to get it for cheap, DO IT! It was a fun book and it really worked as a companion to Remender's Uncanny X-Force.
I hope everyone had a good 2016 and managed to purchase quite a few of their favourite Collected Editions.
How did everyone do with regards to Omnibuses? This is what I managed to pick up:

Just a thought, but correct me if I'm wrong.
As it stands, Daredevil (so far) has the potential for the most omnibus collections, followed by Spider-Man.
DD: Silver-Age, Waid, Brubacker (vol. 1-2). Vol. 2 was solicited, right?
SM: Spider-Man by Michelinie - June 2017, Spider-Man Tangled Web, and Silver-Age. I'm assuming they have a Clone Saga vol. 2 as well.
Any other title/character stick out?
It seems last year there was a ton of Deadpool stuff. Guardians of the Galaxy also got collected a lot and it looks like that could continue somewhat this year.
Anyway, just a few rambling thoughts.
The ghost of omnibus past appears......
I will be updating page 1 OOP, Almost OOP and Instock everywhere over the next day or two.
Is my list correct so far for 2017?
