First of all Half Price Books my ass!
Second Who trades that stuff in? If I were to part with pieces that go for a couple hundred on the aftermarket I sure as heck wouldn't trade it into a used book store; eBay all the way.

Total rubbish, if it were honoring the stores name it shouldn't be a bit over $750.
Would fly off the shelf then I bet!

LOL my thoughts exactly. I was like thats half of who's price!?
The Stan Lee signed masterwork shocked me because I figured that would be one of two places. Ebay or someones shelf never a HPB but you never know people's situation and aybe HPB was their best bet for fast cash.

No Clue. People go to HPB to NOT spend a ton of dough imo

They had some other decent stuff in there too that I couldn't see the price on.
Like OZ, and Acts of Vengence.

I've been checking my local HPB's hoping to find one of the two grails I have left Wolverine Vol 1 and X-Men Vol. 1

LOL, apparently they just looked up the book on Amazon. It is listed for that much, though surely not actually selling.

Yea, I found that out a couple years ago. When they are like take a look around the store and we'll call you when we have a quote for you that means we will let you know after we check amazon and ebay. Even if they arent doing half of the msrp, they can atleast do half the resell value but nah thats too much like right I guess.

Haha, whatever employee did that got lazy and slapped whatever the secondary market Amazon price is on the book. If you really want it, I'd ask to speak to the manager about it. They're not usually as clueless about the real value of things. Still cost you a few hundred, probably.

I've had HPBs try to sell things for vastly inflated prices based on Amazon bot pricing, only to reduce the price when it sits there a while. For example an HPB by me had a Daredevil Fall of the Kingpin TPB in excellent condition they were trying to sell for $50, and I picked it up when they dropped it to $15 a few months later.

I just finished the Posehn & Duggan Deadpool Omnibus, fantastic stuff.

Are there any other great Deadpool runs preferably in the omnibus format?

Default Why are Marvel Omnibuses so damn expensive?

Seriously any Marvel Omnibus they're like from 60 bucks up to 200 bucks online such as Amazon and ebay.

Are people being hoarders and/or scalpers all the time or something?
